Do not go here. The $15 tour is a rip off as the "sommelier" doesn't even know the basics of Australian wine history and talks way too much about the building. They didn't enhance the exhibits but rather just read what you would read on your own. The tasting was a further waist of time and money. The reds were undrinkable and white was fine, but the tasting notes did not reflect the wines at all. I want ALL my money back!

Definitely worth a visit either to learn about Australian wine or just to eat and drink at their bar. The exhibition is excellent and can be self-guided or done with a guide. Tutored tastings available or buy samples of over 100 wines. A great building as well. Also holds dinner and events.

We did a self-guided tour of the Discovery Centre. It passed for killing a half hour or so. Some reasonable information presented in an interesting manner. The wine sampling was overpriced - $3 to $5 per glass for a tasting, $8 to $10 for half glass. We didn't eat, but the Cafe was pretty crowded at morning tea time.

Just a delightful way to spend a day! A great selection of wines all gather conveniently for you.
What was the best was the knowledge & humorous Andrew Bruce walking us through the selection of wonderful wines.

Highly recommend!!!

Lunch at the wine centre on July 9. The sparkling wine was a Tasmanian Pinot Chardonnay and was outstanding. Lunch was Salmon and the chef was kind enough to change asparagus to beans for me. I brought home a bottle from the selection for later. A Rosè, also from Tasmania. There’s a vineyard next door to the venue.
The service was attentive and knowledgeable and I know I will return again and often. Thanks!

Booked a table for dinner.
A date night with my husband.
2 ladies standing right next to our table talking.
Waiter said he would bring over the menus and ask the ladies to move. Brought over the menus but did not ask the ladies to move.
It was quite noisy, and as I talked loudly for my husband to hear, I was aware of the ladies bottom right next to me.
Maybe my fault not to know it was more like a cafeteria instead of a restaurant.
Before we even ordered we decided to leave.
Also the wines we had before being seated were ordinary. My sparkling wine was not cold and appeared slightly flat.
Such a place with possibilities, but just a disappointment.

I found that there really was very little on offer in the way of information or education. It really seems like a drawcard to get you to go to their wine bar that does offer a lot of wines by the glass. Maybe my expectations were too high but I really felt it didn’t offer much

When we stumbled across this on our walk, we thought this would be fantastic being we were in the state that boasts about its food and wine. We were however disappointed, it was very small and there was very little to look at and the interactive things were either not allowed to be used or did not work. there is so much potential for this type of thing but I believe this place missed the mark by miles.

I had an absolutely delightful afternoon here. I did my own tasting and ordered a charcuterie board with incredible South Australian wines and produce. The staff were so friendly and thoughtful and it's a great place to go if you can't get out to the wineries further out of the city.

Not an auspicious start - we went to the wrong place at the wrong time, by a circuitous route that made our tired old legs just need a rest. Fortunately, we were 55 minutes early, rather than 5 minutes late for the tour we had booked, so a coffee and a good rest in the cafe fixed that! Then we were introduced to our tour guide, Andrew, and looked around for other takers for the tour. There weren't any, so we had Andrew all to ourselves for an hour! Now, I thought I already knew a fair bit about wines, but I knew an awful lot more about them after our tour. The tour finished with a guided "how best to evaluate a wine" tasting experience, where I guess we learnt why we like some wines better than others. Everyone is different, but at last we knew why! A great start to a week of winery visits around Adelaide!
