For fans of "The Hunger Games", "Divergent", and "Lord of the Flies"--a gripping dystopian page-turner from the pen of Gemini-nominated writer, Nancy Isaak, that will keep you transfixed, well-entertained, and right on the edge of your seat.

They were just two teenage girls--utterly normal in every way--until they woke up one morning to discover that they were all alone in a world gone mad. Somehow, while they slept, the world had changed; their parents, their friends, all had been taken...all disappeared. Now Kaylee Michelson and her best friend, Jay, must figure out not only how to live in this strange, new world--but how to survive.

These are the facts as the girls know them:
1. Everyone is gone.
2. There is no internet, no t.v., no electricity, no phones; not even batteries work anymore.
3. It is very, very quiet.

Kaylee and Jay--two terrified teenage girls who think they are all alone.
Only--they are wrong!

Dystopias are a difficult genre to write. Once you've read one, you feel like you've seen it all. But definitely not in this case. 365 Alone is simply brilliant. Nancy Isaak has created a plot that sounds familiar but it isn't. The twists are beautifully designed, despite knowing sometimes that something is gonna go wrong, most times my assumption failed, and I was pleasantly surprised.

Kaylee and Jay are a joy to read. Not your usually whinny and unresourceful teenagers. They're brave enough to stay true to themselves despite the difficult trials they have to go through. kaylee is the main point of view, but we also get a peek at the way Jay sees things, and she's just as interesting. They come across several allies in this new world, and they come from the most unexpected places, making our girls mature and question their previous conceptions.

The antagonists are very well created. Most times you're not sure who's friend or foe, but when you do, you wonder: how can someone be so damn evil?! Pernicious, selfish, revengeful, twisted creatures. A total contrast to the good girls.

Overall, I absolutely loved it! Its definitely one of those books that make you go to bed and just think about what you read, the kind of book you'll be thinking of for days. Despite being 505 pages long it didn't feel like it, it took me only two days to read it.

I am not the target audience for this series, but I needed something to read and got a "Lord of the Flies" vibe when reading the summary.
So I gave it a try.
As English is not my first language I don't mind the occasional spelling error - often I don't even notice them.
But how can anyone who has written -anything- before think that "Should of", "Would of" and "Could of" are the correct way to write... anything?
This erroneous way of trying to say Should have or Should've is used consistently throughout the series. (Yes I read them all despite not finding it too good)

The author also tries to end paragraphs with "cliffhangers" ad nauseam.
Picture "We were all safe - but were we?"
I understand the need to try to create some tension, but it quickly gets annoying.

Not the worst books I've read tho' so some might find them enjoyable.

this was really awesome! great characters! believable. i was hooked from the very few pages at the beginning! great description of each one! great dialog! i totally followed what was going on! great page turner! now i want to read the next 3 in the series! i want to know what happened to the other girls that were held in the cage at the end of the 1st book. Very gripping! has this been made into a movie? i would so totally watch it if there were great characters put in it and it went exactly like the book did. would there be 3 other movies with the other 3 books? that would be awesome! Kaylee, Jude, Lily and the others were really geat! Awesome Series!

Thus is not a new concept but...

It was a fresh and vibrant voice that wove the tale of the girls and their struggles. I loved that she really got hiw they would think and feel and respond. A beautifull tapestry woven from many shades if social commentary to pai t a picture worth looking at.

Complete power completely corrups

Scary to realize how awful even the kinder, gentler sex can be. This book rings too true in terms of how some people will take do anything to be in the top position of power.

Unexpectedly good

What a great story! A new twist on the usual dystopia fiction. The characters realistic and detailed. I am excited about the next 3 books in the set. I highly recommend this book.

It was hard to put it down. I read it at the same time as 365 Days Hunted. I enjoyed the discoveries between the two.
