<p>Myrna Loy Simms was born in Calvin, Oklahoma on November 26, 1937 to Bee and Lillian (Peters) Blaylock. She passed away peacefully surrounded by her family at the age of 83 on Thursday, November 4, 2021, in Duncan.<br /> <br /> Visitation will be held on Tuesday, November 9, 2021, from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Whitt Funeral Home in Duncan. Funeral services are scheduled for Wednesday, November 10, 2021, at 11:00 AM at the Whitt Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Billy Morgan officiating.<br /> <br /> Myrna attended Calvin Public Schools and graduated from Duncan High School. She worked many years as a material handler for Halliburton before retiring. She enjoyed watching old western shows and square dancing. Myrna loved shopping and doing crafts like sewing and crocheting. She enjoyed planting flowers in the spring. She was an avid OU football fan and was always one of their loudest fans around. Myrna&#39;s most pride and joy were her grandchildren; she just enjoyed playing with them. Myrna was dearly loved and will be greatly missed.<br /> <br /> Myrna is survived by her four children: Danny Simms and wife Jane of Austin, TX; Tony Simms and wife Shawn of Duncan; Kelly Simms and wife Denise of Duncan; Melinda Kinnaird and husband Ron of Comanche; seven grandchildren: Adam Simms and wife Jayla of Georgetown, TX; Lindsey Long and husband Lexington of Springdale, AR; Clifton Simms of Oklahoma City; Kelly Bean and husband Shaide of Duncan; Cody Simms and wife Emily of Austin, TX; Kenzy Harris and husband Austin of Oklahoma City; Kale Kinnaird of Norman; three great-grandchildren: Parker Long; Preston Long; Caspian Bean; and one sister, Norma Copeland of Duncan.<br /> <br /> She was preceded in death by her parents, six brothers: Delmar Blaylock; Claude Blaylock; Eugene Blaylock; Ellis Blaylock; Harmon Blaylock; Doyle Blaylock; and three sisters: Violet Smith; Lela Graham; Carla Patterson.<br /> <br /> Honorary pallbearers will be Adam Simms, Lindsey Long, Clifton Simms, Kelly Bean, Cody Simms, Kenzy Harris, and Kale Kinnaird.<br /> <br /> Online condolences can be made to the family at www.whittfh.com.<br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> &nbsp;</p>
