Exhibitions

As New York’s Holocaust memorial, we are committed to education and remembrance. Our exhibitions illuminate powerful stories of hope, resilience, courage, and compassion during one of the darkest chapters in human history. We develop our own exhibitions and host traveling exhibitions from around the world.

We opened "The Holocaust: What Hate Can Do," our new core exhibition, in July 2022. It is an expansive presentation of Holocaust history told through our rich collections. With over 12,000 square feet of objects, eyewitness stories, photos, and films—many on view for the first time—the exhibition examines the Holocaust’s global impact and the dangers of where hate and bigotry can lead. The exhibition tells history through individual stories to explore the heartbreaking decisions, acts of resistance, and the diversity of experiences that shaped families for generations.
