Absolutely amazing museum! I didn't take any photos, because I felt like I was on holy ground. The displays are heartbreakingly beautiful. So much information and first-hand testimony. I am not Jewish,but grew up in Western Pa. where many people were called "DPs". I now have a better understanding of what that term truly means. This should be a required visit for all Americans who think it could not happen here.

Really interesting and thought provoking museum. Exhibits are extremely well presented, preserving testimony and stories of survival for future generations. Having recently learned of a family member with Jewish heritage, we asked if they had any records. They directed us to the newly opened Kalikow Jewish Genealogy Center. There, we met with Jordan, a fascinating and extremely helpful geneologist. He was able to show us records pertaining to the family, and unearth connections and records that we had no idea existed! All in all a very interesting and informative afternoon.

Great exhibits. Lovely welcoming staff. The cafe was delicious full of Jewish Cuisine you could smell through out most of the museum. Was even better that we went on Thursday after 4pm so our tickets for admission were completely free. Nice view of the Statue of Liberty from the back windows as well.

This is an excellent museum, well worth a visit if you are interested in knowing about history and this time period. There are many wonderful pieces that have been curated with lots and lots of information to support these museum pieces. The museum is very inexpensive basically no fee but we made a donation as I strongly believe in supporting museums and history. I would definitely recommend visiting the Museum of Jewish Heritage if you are traveling to New York and have some time (it's down near the Wall Street area and Staten Island ferry etc if planning time in this area of lower Manhattan).
