What nonsense Dean Koontz writes (and I made sure to read the book first before watching the movie both in the past 30 days or so) and gets away with it...Apparently he took Stephen King's Secret Window and The Dark Half and added a dose of sci-fi DNA to it, to come up with this tale of a writer confronted by his lookalike who claims to be the real him. There are no spoilers here, at least in my movie review since this fact is revealed up front in the movie as opposed to the book that gradually reveals the root cause behind the claims of the writer's lookalike. Had this been a book review, I would have said go ahead read it only for the writer's prose - Dean Koontz often shows remarkable mastery over language! But this is not the book review so I would say watch the movie if you are curious but that is it - it may whet your curiosity.

I know some people says it's not as good as the book. Well what movie is??
I do think Stephen Baldwin was a weird choice for the character of Martin Stillwater, but that didn't stop me from enjoying the over all story.
