Moses is an Adoption Trauma Educator empowering individuals, families, and communities

FROM THERAPIST TO EDUCATOR

With more than 20 years in the mental health field, Moses’ passion is now focused on educating people about the mental health issues of adoption. He believes everyone needs to be re-educated about what adoption truly is - a form of human trafficking. This calls for a widespread paradigm shift, replacing the myths of adoption and uncovering the truths of abuse and exploitation that have all too often resulted in suicide and murder of adopted people.

As a survivor of child abuse, trauma, and suicide loss, Moses bridges his personal and professional experiences to raise awareness of the human rights and public health issues many adopted people have been facing. He cares deeply about living consciously, being socially responsible and about saving lives. Whenever possible, Moses discusses how adopted people have been found to be 4x more at risk of attempting suicide than non-adopted people. As an Adverse Childhood Experience (ACEs) scoring 4 or more can lead to an increased risk of attempting suicide by 1220%. Moses asks, is adoption really saving lives as we are meant to believe it does? What can be done about it? The answer is to be better informed, to better understand the reality of the traumas, the illicit adoption practices, to see the truth that the promises of a better life too often end in death. So, let’s all save lives.
