Mon Repos Hotel is nicely located at the sourthern end of the Corfu Town promenade; this is a nice location for seaviews and access to seaside swimming whilst still being close enough to explore and enjoy Corfu Old Town.

All of the Mon Repos hotel staff were consistently friendly and helpful; they go out of their way to be attentive and warm.

The rooms are compact / functional; a little dated / tired but our room was clean and met our basic needs.

We booked the fully inclusive option and found the breakfast and dinner buffets to be pleasant; consisting of the usual selection of buffet food items plus a few extra "tasting bowl / plate" items. It was especially pleasing to find a vast selection of fresh fruit, salads, breads etc and see the staff continuously tidying up the buffet presentation plates. There is both indoor and outdoor dining seating options; the outdoor dining terrace is particularly nice. On weekends there is a musician that provides lovely background keyboard and singing entertainment.

The hotel provided early arrival luggage storage, can arrange COVID19 tests and has a small pool for sunbathing / cooling off.

Overall a pleasant stay and we'd stay there again.

This was our first trip to Corfu and Greece and the hotel was in a perfect location to explore Corfu Town. The hotel staff were very friendly and helpful at all times. The hotel was clean with a mix of tradition and modern decoration giving a sense of grandeur. The front of the hotel looked right over the sea and you could sit and have meals and drinks there under a protect area. It's about 15mins from the airport which makes transfers easy but we hardly notice any noise from the airport.

Our room was with a sea view which was fantastic seeing the sun rise over the mountains in the morning (though the room had think blackout curtains if you didn't want to rise with the sun). The room was clean well fitted with a fridge which was handy the balcony had a table and two chairs which were great for taking in the sun and relaxing. The room was cleaned everyday and beds made.
We stayed Half-Board and both breakfast and evening meal (buffet style) were excellent. The food was restaurant quality with a wide selection that changed every day equally comparable to restaurants in town. The restaurant manager was charming very welcoming and ensured all his guests needs were attend to.

The location of the hotel was perfect. You are directly opposite a small beach with cafe and sun beds with fantastic views of Old Town Corfu and harbour. It takes about 20mins to walk into the centre of town along the seafront or you can catch the A2 bus which stops by the hotel (every 20mins) and costs €3.40 for a couple one way. Taxi is €8. This means you can enjoy old town but are away from the noise which is more relaxing. Around the hotel are a selection of cafe, bars and tavernas overlooking the harbour which is very romantic. This hotel was advertised as an adult only hotel which was great (though my wife an I adore children and she's a teacher) it was great not to have to deal with crying or noise children particularly at breakfast or dinner. This is a fantastic place for couples of all ages or friends wanting a relaxing escape.
WE WOULD HIGHLY RECOMMEND booked through TUI

We stayed at the hotel for a week in August. When we arrived we were greeted with a glass of fizz, which was a great touch . We were then given our room key , we we’re based on the top floor , all I could say when we opened the door was wow , the room was huge and we had a huge balcony with a fantastic sea view . I had paid extra for a view but it was 100% better than we have hoped for.
Breakfast on a morning was fantastic with a vast amount of choice, you favourite things were the small doughnuts covered with Nutella !
Two nights out of the 7 we had food in the hotel and it’s was a bargain , 15 euros with a glass for wine and again a vast choice , pork, beef, chicken , salads the list is endless . We both commented that it was some of the nicest food we had on this holiday because we didn’t find a nice restaurant until the last night , typical.
The pool is ok for a dip to cool down and the sun beds are very comfortable, however there aren’t a huge number of them . The hotel does operate a thirty minute policy which is great because other hotels in the past you often see towels left on beds all day . I still managed to get a seat or a bed for the duration of our stay .
The sea is opposite the hotel , I recommend you take sea shoes because it’s very rocky when walking out , it wasn’t very busy at all , possibly because there isn’t much of a beach.
The cafe across the road have a lot of beds if you like to sit near the sea.
The cafe bar called the nautilus was one of our favourites as you could see all of the yachts in the port with a fantastic view .
There is a lot to see in Corfu town and we went most days , on average I think we did 20,000 steps a day just wondering round . We just followed the sea along until we saw a monument on the left and we entered the new part of town there , we found this an easier route .
On of the bonus’s of this hotel is that’s it’s not far from the airport and we paid 15 euros for a taxi .
A big thank you to the staff especially the cleaners because our room was immaculate every day .

We booked this holiday in Jan20 for Sep20 but due to Covid the Hotel closed and rather than put more pressure on the Hotel we chose to transfer the booking to Sep21 – by doing this the Hotel kept our payment of €900 which was paid in Jan20 – at this time I also ensured that my room arrangements were retained (Sea View (not side), Balcony & Breakfast included). Near the date of the holiday we added an additional 2 nights to the trip which they confirmed was OK – the Hotel could have taken the additional payment but chose not to until our arrival. When we checked in I paid the additional cost for the 2 nights immediately and suggested that we would be eating and drinking at the Hotel and would run a tab for this (charging to the room) – I was advised that if I wished to do this I would have to pay a Deposit of €200 (this is bearing in mind that I had been happy for the Hotel to be holding €900 of mine for over 21 months) this showed a one sided lack of Trust on the part of the Hotel something which I have never encountered in any other holiday. At this point I decided that we would not be eating and drinking at the Hotel – which we did not apart from the pre-paid Breakfast. After Checking in we were allocated our room and within minutes I had to complain to Reception – the room was small and to my mind was a Side Sea view (ie cheaper) and the balcony was unbelievable – the door to the balcony opened inwards and you had to move a table and chair in the room in order to open the balcony door then when you get on the balcony there was no way that this could accommodate 2 people as it only measured about 1 metre (I have taken a photograph of the Balcony from the outside). The Receptionist spoke with someone and we were moved and the explanation I was given was that the Hotel was busy to which I responded that my Booking was made over 21 months ago and this was not a satisfactory explanation. The room we eventually had to accept was average at best (nothing like the website pictures) and was clearly in need of decoration and not up the Star rating we believed we had purchased. I am not sure exactly how many rooms the Hotel has but the Pool (which is adjacent to a road) has only 7 umbrellas so there is very little chance to enjoy this feature at all. The only real positive comments I can make about this Hotel and Booking are for the staff in the Breakfast room and the Receptionist when we were checking out who were very pleasant and the overall location of the Hotel.

We spent a week here in early October. The hotel is in a perfect location for the Old Town, a very pleasant 25 minute walk, or a local bus is also close to hand.
Very disappointed with our room, which had a side view of the sea and a tiny balcony.

The first thing I noticed was a stained bed cover and a general lack of space. The wardrobe was adequate but drawers were lacking. As has been previously mentioned, the bathroom is in need of a complete refurb. It was very shabby and for the elderly I would suspect quite difficult to get in and out of the bath for a shower. No slip mat in the bath, no grip handles on the wall, only low down in the bath, no bathplug if you wished for a bath. That said, a good supply of toiletries.
We struggled to charge our phones and iPad and also had the shock of the kettle suddenly switching itself on during the night. You need to unplug it before going to bed. Erratic supplies of tea/coffee etc, often had to help myself from the cleaner's trolley. A very welcome 1.5 litre bottle of water every day.

The restaurant staff were excellent. Very attentive. Food generally was fine, we did eat there a couple of times in the evening, good and bad points about the buffet but for 15 euros and a glass of wine you couldn't really complain.

Very disappointed with the outside space, as previously mentioned only a small number of sun loungers and despite notices being displayed about not reserving them, we did notice towels placed before breakfast. Small pool which I did use on several occasions but maybe 6 strokes and you'd cover the length of it.

We too were there for the fire and can only confirm the previous comments about the lack of urgency and organisation. Our room, on the second floor was alongside the fire and we noticed smoke for some time before we heard any fire alarm. Initially we heard bangs which we thought were fireworks although couldn't understand why they would be let off during daylight. These obviously were explosions.

We made use of the Spa and had excellent massages.

We did enjoy our holiday to Corfu and explored much of the area with the help of the buses, very cheap, eg a 50 minute ride was 2.30 euros, amazing value.

A very handy restaurant/bar across the road overlooking the sea ideal for a pre-dinner glass of wine.

The hotel was very comfortable and the staff extremely friendly. The Buffet breakfast had good variety with lots of fresh fruit, breads and hot food. The evening buffet was really good value at €15 per person and included a complementary glass of wine.Rooms were serviced every day to a high standard. Air conditioning worked and we had a fridge in the room. The balcony was very small and although I paid for a full sea view, our room was at the side of the hotel so it wasn’t a full sea view. The location was excellent with access to the sea across the road. There are also convenient local bus stops nearby. The pool was very small and adjacent to a busy road so not the most attractive spot to lay down. Just as well as the handful of loungers seemed to be booked in advance every day with towels placed on them before breakfast. Really appreciated the complementary room for half an hour- bookable in advance- on our date of departure as we were able to shower and change before heading off to the airport.

I stayed here towards the end of June with my 24 yr old daughter just for 4 days (not long enough!) Although we didn’t arrive until almost 11pm, we were very quickly given our room ‘key’ having already checked in on-line. The receptionist was lovely and we were then met by a waiter with two ice cold glasses of Prosecco, which we enjoyed immensely and thought a very welcoming touch.
The hotel is in a very good, quite peaceful location. Small cove nearby for sea swimming, sun loungers to hire and ‘beach shack’ style bar. Bus stop nearby for a short bus ride into Corfu Town/Old Fort (€1.70). We would have loved to walk to Corfu Town around the bay (just over 2km) but found it too hot to do so. Would be a lovely walk on a cooler day.
In daylight the next morning we realised what a lovely view we had from our balcony across the bay and to the Old Fort from our balcony.
The hotel room itself was more than adequate and was kept very clean, comfortable beds, with tea, coffee, provided as well as bottled water. Air conditioning worked well and the fantastic cleaning ladies kept everything clean and tidy.
Breakfast…..- well what can we say! The buffet breakfast selection was amazing, with everything and more that you could possibly want, from cooked breakfast, pastries, pancakes, fresh fruits, yoghurts and so much more. The waiters/waitresses kept us topped up with tea and coffee and were polite and friendly. One person in particular stood out for us and that was the very lovely Kostas (Restuarant Manager?). Such a lovely gentleman. He made us feel very welcome, always checking that we were ok and willing to answer any questions we had about where to visit. Our visit still would have been lovely, but he made it extra special. Thank you Kostas.
Mention must also go to the reception staff. Our flight was not until the evening and so after checking out were able to leave our luggage with them. We were then allocated a time slot for later in the day, in a room where we could shower/change etc after another hot day of sightseeing. This made such a difference to our last day and the reception staff were extremely accommodating.
The hotel has a very elegant feel about it and we would highly recommend.
We would definitely stay here again.

Staff are lovely and helpful. Breakfast ….you wouldn’t go hungry. Fried eggs, scrambled eggs, bacon , sausages, beautiful tomatoes, bakes beans, fresh fruit, yogurt, fresh breads, ham , cheese and pastries. Hot water and coffee is slow to come to your table, some mornings no crockery or cutlery on some tables, they would do better to allocate you a table as it becomes free. You do need to put your hand up to get attention from staff. Didn’t have half board but it smelt lovely.
Rooms, we booked the bog standard room through TUI. No interesting views ! However rooms have fridge, tea ,coffee, sugar…
Hairdryer, shampoo, conditioner, shower gel, body lotion. A bottle of water is left in your room every day when they change towels and make beds. Beds comfortable, pillows are not. You only get one pillow But can ask for more. Plumbing is smelly ! We had a problem and they fixed within 10 minutes. The sea view rooms had great views and you could stock up your fridge and save pennies by stocking your fridge up. Beer 6 euros, cocktail 9, sparkling water 3.5 euros. Ask where local supermarkets are. 2a bus takes you into Corfu town . Taxi 10 euros. We walked in along the sea front. Corfu town is lively . No clubs or karaoke that we could see. Walk down the little alleys and find nice little shops and bars, really enjoyed this both day and night.
Theo’s boat trip was good fun.
The hotel is away from the town and we swam in the sea near the windmill across the road. Take grip beach shoes, snorkel and mask. Free swimming!
Also take a walk around Mon Repos Park next to the hotel, free. Prince Philip was born there on a table. Lovely and shady .
Explore and you will enjoy this holiday

The first thing to be said about this hotel is that the staff are great, very helpful and constantly in a good humour. However, for hotel that rates itself as a four star service, it falls well short of the mark. The building is old and consequently a lot of the fixtures and fittings are in need of modernisation. The technology is poor and also old and in need of modernisation (the Wi-Fi is like a fickle child, sometimes willing to cooperate sometimes not).

As mentioned the staff are great, room service is very competent and the waiting staff in the dining area are very good.

If you have half-board the room and breakfast are reasonable value however should you be out by the pool and wanting a drink the prices are ridiculously high, for example 3/4 litre bottle of water €5. You can save yourself from this particular stress by running across the road and getting a litre bottle of water from the kiosk for €1!

The evening meal can be bough for €15 a head and this includes a free glass of wine. However, should you be a teetotaller and want water instead, this will cost you €5!?

The view is stunning, the sea is a 20 meter walk across the road, sadly there’s no beach but there is a pie where you can sit, sunbathe, enjoy the view, swim and just people watch to your hearts content.

If you like a quality hotel with high standards of service then this is the place for you. The staff simply cannot do enough for you. Anything you need - taxis, car hire, pool towels, advice or information about the area or island and they are there for you. The breakfast offering and evening meal options are also excellent although personally we like to eat out at restaurants in the evening but if you prefer to eat in the hotel the evening meal
package is 20 euros per person and includes a glass of wine. Evening entertainment is on offer some nights too although maybe a little ‘ old school ‘ for some which is why I think this hotel probably suits an older more mature clientele. Contrary to some other reviews I think the walk into Corfu town is a little too far - 30 mins and so we would get a taxi into town in the evenings for 10 euros and the 2A bus back which stops near the hotel for 1.70 euros per person. There is a bar/cafe across the road - Nautilus which is ok for a snack/drink/ coffee and popular with the locals but not great for a meal out in my view. There is the odd restaurant near to the hotel but the best ones and the huge choice of options are all in Corfu town. The swimming pool is quite small and shallow and overlooks a side road which may not suit everyone and there are only approx 12 x sunbeds/parasols but there is additional seating and deckchairs around the pool which people put to good use for sunbathing etc. There wasn’t the usual morning rush to bag a sunbed as to be honest the type of people staying here were above that behaviour so that can be a plus or a minus depending on your point of view. The rooms are quite small as are the bathrooms but unless you intend to spend time in them they are perfectly adequate. Rooms and towels are cleaned/ changed daily by a great team of cleaning staff all very friendly saying hello as you go down to breakfast. If you want a sea view then you need to request this but the side sea view rooms still offer a decent sea view too. Room fridge is stocked daily with free large bottle of water and there is also a Nepresso machine and free room safe. Finally a special mention to Iris and Kostas in the restaurant who added to our enjoyment of our holiday with their friendly nature and willingness to please. Keep wearing those lovely shirts and ties Kostas !
