Audience Member more seasons please so good Rated 5 out of 5 stars 01/09/23 Full Review Audience Member This show gets better with every season. At times the writing is a bit too sit-comish, but the cast is fantastic, especially Janney. Also, many great guest appearances. The primary focus is now on the group of friends who are supporting each other in the struggle for sobriety. Rated 4.5 out of 5 stars 01/09/23 Full Review Audience Member This show is never not funny. Still one of my top 5 favorite comedies ever. This season is even better than the first two. The writing and jokes are still making me crack up and the emotional depth of the story is amazing. The chemistry between Alison Janney and Anna Faris is still fantastic. The whole cast gave hilarious and stupendous performances especially Alison Janney, Anna Faris, Mimi Kennedy, Jamie Pressly, Matt Jones, Beth Hall, William Fichtner, Emily Osment, and Octavia Spencer. Dan Fienberg Hollywood Reporter And remaining a savvy complement, [Anna] Faris continues to give one of the most underrated performances on TV. Oct 17, 2017 Full Review Brian Lowry Variety Still, even with the admirable mix of laughs and lumps in the throat that this latest installment elicited, it's not difficult to understand why the show hasn't become as addictive as CBS would surely like it to be. Oct 17, 2017 Full Review Keertana Sastry Entertainment Weekly Moments like this prove why the show is so touted for its humor and truthfulness, and why Allison Janney in particular can do no wrong. Oct 17, 2017 Full Review Randy Dankievitch TV Over Mind Mom is anything but a typical comedy, using its humor more like a tool to help navigate much darker, emotionally challenging issues like alcoholism, depression, mortality. Mar 11, 2020 Full Review Michael Slezak TV Line Of course, as fans of CBS' increasingly nuanced comedy have come to expect, there's a gut punch before the punchline. Nov 10, 2015 Full Review Mitchel Broussard We Got This Covered With a few ballsy plot lines under its belt and an assured step in the right direction in the season three premiere, Mom may come off as occasionally familiar in its formatting, but content wise it feels downright groundbreaking.
