    The cinema museum is interesting
The cinema is located in the Mole Antonelliana, a building that cannot be missed, It gives an overview of the first beginnings of motion picture, how this further developed, and walking along a gallery inside the immense hall you can see many posters of movies spanning a long period of time. A lot of the exhibition was dedicated to Dario Argento, whose work I am not very familiar with and therefor a less interesting part. But the museum itself is worth a visit.

    Stunning architecture
This was the first attraction I chanced upon in Turin - and it is breath-taking. Whoever designed the tower must have been on something as it is a glorious folly! The building houses the Museum of Cinema and for €9 you can take the lift to the top, but I just admired it from outside.

It's THE landmark of the city - you have to go!
It's one of the most famous landmarks in Turin and the views from the top are great. Probably more spectacular is the way that you get up to the top - the lift is glass and suspended only by its cables rather than any metal framework whilst it ascends through the film museum. It's probably more spectacular watching it from the ground than being in it (it feels like a normal lift in case you are afraid of that sort of thing). Spaces are limited so it's worth booking in advance. As you access it through the cinema museum you are best getting a combination ticket at the same time, especially if it's raining. You do the lift first and cinema museum second.

    Excellent museum and building.
We had a fantastic experience here. The museum is huge with so much information and exhibits to see. Lots of interactive displays. Amazing decoration throughout. We were there during the Tim Burton exhibition which was stunning. Over 500 pieces apparently, beautifully displayed in a variety of ways. We were there for a good two hours. The lift in the centre of the museum which goes up to a viewing platform on the roof was great to watch and also experience. However the view from the roof terrace was disappointing as it was wet and windy when we were there. But apparently you can see the mountains on a clear day. Make sure you book in advance as it does get very busy but you'll be in there so long that the crowds will disperse around you. Really good experience.

On a hot day this was a very long wait, often in stuffy surroundings - and not really worth it. Much quicker and more pleasant to go up the Museo Nationale della Montagna on the Monte dei Cappuccini - and it’s free; it’s only just over the river and the views are more comprehensive. The queuing arrangements at the Mole are not immediately obvious and the link with a cinema museum is confusing. The notices read that masks are ‘strictly necessary’ but the rule is blatantly ignored. A very long time queuing for not much return. Not worth the hassle.

So disappointed with this attraction . First they would not let us in with our blue/white masks so we had to go to the one store across from the line to buy an N95 mask . Then once inside, NO ONE gave a hoot if anyone was wearing a mask or not. You have to buy a ticket to museum and then a ticket for the elevator to the top. They cram people in the elevator and again , no one enforces wearing a mask . Granted the view was nice at the top BUT we got a much better view from other high points in this city , for free . Then you once again cram into the little elevator and it takes you all the way down. Here’s the worse … you have to walk and wind your way UP to see any exhibits and finally when you’ve had enough , you find some unmarked door that leads to an unmarked staircase to walk all the way to the lobby again . Unless you are really into old movie stuff, don’t waste your money and time . Never been more disappointed with a tourist attraction on any country.

The Mole Antonelliana, symbol of Turin, is a truly strange building. A Temple built at the top of its roof is just one of the features that make it special.
Take the elevator, hanging from only a few cables, through the inside of the Dome and you will have memorabile views from the roof top.
Not so good for people suffering from vertigo.

Visited in a Thursday afternoon, in January and there was no queue at all. The building is outstanding, easy to see and recognize from far. The elevator goes up to 85 meters high where is a platform offering amazing views over Torino. The national cinema museum is housed inside as well as a souvenir shop and a coffee shop.

The Mole Antonelliana is a stunning structure in the heart of the city. The building takes its name from its creator Alessandro Antonelli. Construction of the building began in 1863 shortly after the unification of Italy. Completion was in 1889 after the death of Alessandro Antonelli. Initially the building was designed to be a synagogue and is now home to the National Museum of Cinema. It was somewhere that I have always wanted to see and I wasn't disappointed, I visited in July 2020 so I was unable to go inside due to Covid restrictions but at least I was able to get close enough to appreciate the immensity of the place.

We did both parts to this. First up the glass lift to the viewing deck where you can go out and walk around and get 360' views over the city and then work your around and up through the cinema museum. Depending on when you visit the theme of cinema changes? The experience is worth it alone.

The glass elevator is quite an experience! Taking you straight up the middle of the tower, not for the feint hearted. Amazing views from the top. The film museum is really interesting, don’t be put off by the fact that it goes up a few floors, the detailed stuff is on the lower floors.
Really interesting stairs down too.
Overall a fabulous building, worth reading up on its history too
