This is Reddit's home for Computer Role Playing Games, better known as the CRPG subgenre! CRPGs are characterized by the adaptation of pen-and-paper RPG, or tabletop RPGs, to computers (and later, consoles.) These games tend to focus heavily on role-play and autonomy through the application of a player's chosen attributes and skills. The subgenre has since evolved with its own conventions separate from tabletop RPGs, but at its core, it still draws heavily from the tabletop source material.

I like it! It is interesting: The image also works in a way for the viewer when turned upside down.
Thanks!
Like you see it upside down ☺️
Good wash work! Are you masking anything or just being careful not to overlap color?
Thanks!
This was just a trial, so no drawing gum or anything. I drew a landscape and some sort of non working fountain I guess :-). A trial or moreover a training for doing big flat colors, and for the record, the blue-cyan is very easy to put down, but if you zoom a bit in the center there is mishaps despite the color was completely dry (bleedings on the "fountain").
For the backstory, I made an okay A4 panel (IMO), and then I ruined it when coloring it. So I take painting courses since the beginning of January because of that, and I'm learning a lot and at the moment, well from the beginning, I do big large flat colors. It's not that easy :-p but I feel it's important for understanding the rest, and I'm getting better big flat colors!
Edit: the "shadows" are just painted on top of the rest (after a healthy drying! Like overnight) using the same color. Here it's with less water, so it's darker if you compare to the base color.
This was a great explanation of your process! It always adds a bit to my appreciation of a piece when I know more about its creation! This is excellent work my friend! I would love to see your take on Nighthawks by Edward Hopper!
