referencing The Million Dollar Quartet (LP, Album) SUN 1006
I've got this record, with 2 labels called side Areferencing The Million Dollar Quartet (LP, Album) SUN 1006
I have a 2017 copy from a label called "Wax Love". I do not think this is to be confused with the "WaxTime" 2017 release found here, as mine is a single LP. But what is really interesting is my copy is a 45RPM, while the wax label says 33. There are no indications of this being a 45 anywhere on the jacket or the wax.- Edited 9 years agosorry but I have the original dated 1956, perfect condition, US, claiming to be SUN but has no such appearance. Don't know why other than they were doing it for charity for the forgotten but then famed and filmed "Parade of Stars" 1956-60 organized by Judy Garland, my grandfather and Frank Sinatra, Andre Kostelanetz, and it was part of the MET. Oh, and I did find the other two albums by Cash and Cash and Dillon. And one other edited one by Presley.
It was part of that revolt mentioned and it is not on Sun. It is private. It was just all the guys getting together to sing for the met, and they do mention Cash, but he is on a second album. You do not have Evis's rendition of The Impossible Dream. HOW CAN IT BE??? IT HAD NOT BEEN WRITTEN RIGHT? WRONG. LOL. Another Review. But I will upload the original photos or even sell if people are interested. Oh my there are about 40 tracks over 5 years by Johnny Cash, and a lot by Mario Lanza, sung with Joseph Toner, And well lets see, Oh yes it was Paul Robeson's way out of being held here against his will. All for free. The money raised went to cure Asthma. And it did a lot too. Oh one day Dillon and Cash showed up together. And it was announced in advance by Cash on a revised Kostelanetz album. He was there too doing revivals of Kiss Me Kate, Show Boat, etc, etc. And hyms, and carols for Christmas, so, well, they got my grandfather's vocals. Nasty bunch. But what a lot of music we are putting all the originals together for charity, just like it should be, rather than it being sent back to GERMANY????? No.. People write and tell me how they would like the compilation-by personality, like there was always part by Judy and Frank and then a part "of the opera" and then other guests. Like the million dollar quartet.
