Collectible toy company NECA has launched a life-sized replica of M3GAN, the murdering robot from the hit Blumhouse movie. Thankfully, the creepy doll isn't a working duplicate (or prototype) of the android in the film, as lifelike as it seems.

M3GAN's unsettling plot of robots gone haywire is hardly a new concept in movies. The earliest representation of artificial intelligence in pop culture was in 1927's Metropolis, and the concept of sentient machines has since been explored in countless iterations in film, TV, anime, games, and comics. While waiting for truly self-aware AI to be developed, sci-fans can take comfort in movies like Terminator and The Matrix, or the truly dystopian world of the Black Mirror TV series. Those who want to take it up a notch can order a M3GAN doll from NECA, a collectible toy company that specializes in pop culture action figures. Their M3GAN doll is a spitting (and unsettling) replica of the android from the Blumhouse movie.

Sorry Five Nights at Freddy's, but M3GAN Explored THIS Horror Concept Better
Five Nights at Fridays is seen by some as too tame compared to its source material, and the criticisms are even stronger next to the success of M3GAN.

NECA's M3GAN doll triggers the uncanny valley even in fans desensitized by horror movies. Standing at approximately 55 inches (over four feet), the doll is a fully posable, life-sized reproduction of the robot doll from the film. The company boasts that the product is a "1:1 replica based on M3GAN's on-screen appearance, duplicated from actual film-used digital files to be the most screen-accurate representation available," much like their replicas of the Chucky and Tiffany dolls from the Child's Play movies. As if the doll isn't creepy enough, NECA did not skimp on details by recreating its clothing and accessories, on top of its moveable eyes and movie-accurate synthetic hair. Now available for pre-orders, anyone can place multiple purchases to assemble their personal M3GAN army. Each doll costs $494.99 (plus shipping), almost the same as a Blu-ray PS5 unit.

Clamor To Make Replicas Of The FNAF IPs

The M3GAN doll launches ahead of the film's sequel, which is slated for release on May 16, 2025. The doll's launch begs the question if NECA would also make life-size replicas of the mascots from Five Nights at Freddy's, which stand anywhere between six to ten feet (a Change.org petition was already created for this, with more than 5,000 support signatures garnered to date). As expected, NECA also sells downscaled replicas of characters from other Blumhouse IPs, such as the Annabelle doll and the nun from the Conjuring universe.
