Michael Cole joined WWE in 1997 and has since become one of the company’s most recognisable commentators and backstage interviewers.
Throughout his tenure, he has called some of the company’s most significant moments, including WrestleMania matches, championship bouts, and memorable encounters, and in a recent interview revealed, which one he believes is the best.
Speaking to his former Friday Night SmackDown co-commentator Pac McAfee on the Pat McAfee Show Cole talked about some of the legendary moments he has had the pleasure of calling.
“Box office-wise, probably Rock-Cena at WrestleMania. The first one,” Cole said. “One of the biggest stories that we’d ever done. Just that moment in time where Rock and John were in their careers. That was probably the biggest that I had the pleasure of calling.”
“But there’s been so many over the years. Roman Reigns has just had some incredible moments,”

Cole revealed that Rollins cashing in the Money In The Bank briefcase at WrestleMania 31 was the greatest moment he has ever called in WWE.
In the main event of WrestleMania 31 Brock Lesnar and Roman Reigns fought for the WWE World Heavyweight Championship. However, toward the end of the match, when it seemed like Lesnar was about to retain his title, Rollins made a surprising appearance and cashed in his Money in the Bank contract.
Rollins’ entry into the match turned it into a Triple Threat match. He hit Lesnar with Curb Stomp before pinning Reigns to win the championship and become the first person to cash in the Money in the Bank contract at WrestleMania in the process. The victory not only marked a significant moment in Rollins’ career but is often remembered as one of the most shocking and exciting moments in WrestleMania history.
“Probably the greatest moment, though, was the night that Seth Rollins cashed in Money in the Bank at WrestleMania to beat Brock and Roman on the same night,” Cole declared. “That was probably my favorite moment.”
