questions about metro 2033 locations

so i just finished metro 2033 amazing game and just started last light but i had a few things i was curious about

1 are the things like d6 pollis hall or anything like those real/inspired by somethigg or are they just imaginary?

2 are the metro stations/routes somewhat related to real life routes?

All of the metro stations etc are real, it's based off the Moscow Metro. Even the secret line is real (Metro-2). D6 is based on a nuclear missile bunker which are of course real but there isn't one on the Moscow metro from what I know. There is Bunker 42 but that's just a communication bunker.

The games portrayal of Metro stations is completely inaccurate though, they are cramped in the games but IRL and in the books they are much larger and open.

In this day and age not really, for example the communication bunker is now a museum and most missile silo bunkers of the 60s are far too old nowadays to be used, most are abandoned or museums now.

yeah i know but they probaly still have a few or i think that would be logical

Yeah but they will be modern and certainly not in the center of Moscow
