Rick D I'm probably not person to review this movie - because of my unexpected emotional reaction to it. I was surprised how it grabbed me at the end - for what are very personal reasons - but I also thought it was a wonderful movie on its own. This is one of those "the sum of its parts is much greater than the whole" movies. It draws you in. Rated 4.5 out of 5 stars 04/11/24 Full Review KB B This was such a good movie with good acting and storyline. It's definitely worth the watch. Rated 4.5 out of 5 stars 03/31/24 Full Review chitown2bayarea Great film with great acting to boot! Rated 4.5 out of 5 stars 02/25/24 Full Review Alec B The absolute worst kind of film festival trash. A forced and too cute dramedy that simply repeats the beats of other movies. Rated 1 out of 5 stars 12/14/23 Full Review Petros T A captivating, relatable film that captures the thoughts, emotions and behaviours of the teenage protagonists very well. It is both funny and moving without overdoing either, its engaging characters are brought to life by the great acting, and the photography is beautiful. The titular film-within-a-film is a testament to the power of moviemaking and how much can be conveyed by the way you string shots together, but above all it's a film about adolescence, death, self-image, love and friendship. Rated 4 out of 5 stars 08/09/23 Full Review Gareth v Walks a fine line between poignant and chessy, and on the whole it stays on the right side. A touching movie, with just the right amount of humour. Rated 4 out of 5 stars 06/19/23 Full Review Read all reviews Post a rating

Max Weiss Baltimore Magazine Rachel's dying isn't really about Rachel at all. It's about Greg. In fact, everything that happens in the film is about Greg. Rated: 2.5/4 Jun 10, 2016 Full Review Connie Ogle Miami Herald There's plenty to like here, but the movie focuses on the least interesting person on the screen, a curious choice considering we're talking life and death. Rated: 2.5/4 Dec 31, 2015 Full Review Ty Burr Boston Globe I found myself relishing the skill of the cast and laughing at the sharply turned dialogue while wincing at the self-consciousness of the storytelling and the self-congratulatory pop-culture references. Rated: 2.5/4 Dec 31, 2015 Full Review Keith Garlington Keith & the Movies It’s a story with a lot to say about the value of true friendship, and it’s not ashamed to tackle a difficult subject in its own personal way. I kinda like that boldness. Rated: 4/5 Aug 24, 2022 Full Review Victoria Luxford City AM Where so many American indie flicks would overdo it on the kooky characters and wink-wink one-liners, this (film) knows when to hold back. Like Greg himself, Me and Earl is gentle, self-effacing and a good deal smarter than it lets on. Rated: 4/5 Feb 18, 2022 Full Review Mike Massie Gone With The Twins The further the picture progresses, the more it fizzles and flounders. Rated: 6/10 Dec 4, 2020 Full Review Read all reviews
