Obituary
Maxine Wilkinson, 90 of Oklaunion, TX. passed away on Thursday, July 7, 2022, in Wichita Falls, Texas.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday July 13, 2022 at 10:00am at the First Baptist Church with Dr. Derrell Monday officiating. Burial will follow at the Eastview Cemetery under the direction of Sullivan Funeral Home.
Maxine was born Thursday, September 10,1931 in Vernon, Texas, to the late O.R. Yarbrough and the late Bertice Cross Yarbrough. Maxine married Warren G. “Bill” Wilkinson on December 10, 1948 in Elliott, Texas. He passed away on June 2, 2018. Maxine had worked as a secretary for the First Baptist Church. Maxine served several roles at First Baptist Church including teaching Sunday school classes, she played the piano at the church and sang in the choir. Maxine was a member of the Home Extension Club in Vernon. Maxine loved to work in her yard and garden, she has very talented semesters and loved to bake.
Maxine is survived by two sons, Robert Wilkinson of Lititz, PA and Scott Wilkinson of Elliott, TX, Two daughters, Diane Rogers of Harrold, TX and Robin Woodrick of Sugarland, TX. Maxine also leaves behind eight grandchildren and thirteen great grandchildren.
Maxine is preceded in death by her parents O.R. and Bertice Yarbrough, her husband Warren G. “Bill” Wilkinson, one grandson John Robert Wilkinson and one sister June Yarbrough.
Visitation will be held Tuesday from 6-7pm at Sullivan Funeral Home.
