Maury Ginsberg was an American spotlight operator at Woodstock, an outdoor music festival held in Bethel, New York from 15 August to 18 August 1969.
Biography[]
Although it was not generally known, Ginsberg played a major role in ensuring the concert's success, given that he noticed that a cable connecting the speaker system had been unplugged and reconnected it. He had been given a lift to the concert by a member of the Q Continuum who later became known as Quinn.
While in Quinn's jeep, he met a young woman whom he described as "the groovy chick with the long red beads." They would eventually meet again, fall in love, marry and have four children. Ginsberg later became a successful orthodonist in Scarsdale, likewise in New York.
In 2372, Q transported Ginsberg, Sir Isaac Newton and Commander William T. Riker to the USS Voyager in order to convince Captain Kathryn Janeway that Quinn had had a profound impact on Earth's history. In the process, Q told Ginsberg about his future, which he described as "far out." He was then returned to his own time with no memory of his brief visit to the Delta Quadrant in the 24th century. (VOY episode: "Death Wish")
