Biography
Markgräfin Mathilde von Brandenburg (* um 1210; † 10. Juni 1261 in Lüneburg) war durch Heirat Herzogin von Braunschweig-Lüneburg. Sie war die Tochter des Markgrafen Albrecht II. von Brandenburg (1150–1220) aus dem Hause der Askanier und seiner Gattin Gräfin Mathilde von der Lausitz (1185–1225), Tochter des Grafen Konrad II. von Landsberg.[1]
Her parents were Albrecht II Markgraf von Brandenburg and Matilde von der Lausitz, circa 1228 she married Otto I Herzog von Braunschweig-Lüneburg, born circa 1204 He was the son of William of Winchester Herzog von Braunschweig-Lüneburg and Helen Valdemarsdottir, Princess of Denmark.
