Donald E. Moser 1935-2021

WARREN — Donald Earl Moser, 86, passed away Sunday, June 12, 2021, at his residence.

Don was born Feb. 6, 1935, in Hanoverton, to the late Ernst and Mary Richey Moser.

Don was active in 4-H in his youth. He had won Reserve Champion and Grand Champion steers at the Columbiana County Fair. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army.

Don left his parents’ farm in 1959 and became a State Farm insurance agent in Howland, where he operated Moser Insurance Agency for over 40 years; he was proud to be a Legion of Honor Agent.

Don was a founding member of Howland United Methodist Church, where he sang in the choir and served as a trustee for many years. He was past president of the Howland Rotary; a founding member the Howland Little Tigers; and past president of the Howland Tigers Football Boosters.

Besides his parents, Don was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Jo Ann Moser, and his brothers, Carl and Harold “Skip” Moser.

Don is survived by his sons, Curt L. (Judy) Moser and Ken E. Moser; six grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.

A celebration of life service will be at 2 p.m. Saturday, June 4, 2022. Calling hours will precede the service from 1 to 2 p.m. and follow the service from 2:30 to 3 p.m. Saturday.

A portion of the service will be in memory of Kathy Jo Moser, born Aug. 19, 1955, in Warren, and whose passing followed her father’s on Oct. 9, 2021.

Services will be held at Lane Funeral Home, Roberts-Clark Chapel, 180 Garfield Drive NE, Warren, OH 44483.
