Enrolment Information

APPLYING TO MARY’S MOUNT PRIMARY SCHOOL

Mary’s Mount Primary School welcomes your application for admission. As we are a single stream Primary School with one class per year group, positions are in high demand. To avoid disappointment, please ensure you have all of your paperwork in order, and your application is submitted well in advance.

Eligibility for Kindergarten

  • Three-year-old Kindergarten: Children must be three years of age at the time of commencement and should be toilet trained.
  • Four-year-old Kindergarten: Children must be four years of age by 30th June of the current year. If they turn four later in the year, they will be considered for Kindergarten the following year.

Enrolment Timeline

The school is currently accepting applications for all intake years and conducting interviews for students starting school for the first time in 2025 and 2026.

Paperwork Required

  • Completed and signed application form
  • Student’s Birth Certificate
  • Australian Immunisation Register (AIR) Immunisation History Statement (not more than 8 weeks old) showing that your child is ‘up-to-date’ with all scheduled immunisations for their age.   • Baptism Certificate (if available)
  • Parish Priest Reference (optional)
  • Parents Passport, Residency or Visa (required if one of the parents was born overseas)
  • Custodial Court Orders (if relevant)

Submitting Your Application

  • An application fee of $25.00 is required for applications and is non-refundable.
  • The fee can be paid over the phone via credit card or in person at the school office.
  • Submit the application form and required documents to enrolments@mmps.wa.edu.au or deliver them in person to the school office.
  • Originals of the documents should be presented during the enrolment interview.

Enrolment Priority

The school follows a specific enrolment priority for all students:

  1. Catholic students from the Holy Family Parish Kalamunda with a Parish Priest reference.
  2. Catholic students from outside the Holy Family Parish Kalamunda with a Parish Priest reference.
  3. Other Catholic students.
  4. Siblings of non-Catholic students.
  5. Non-Catholic students from other Christian denominations.
  6. Other non-Catholic students.

School Tours

  • If you are considering applying to Mary’s Mount Primary School, you are encouraged to attend a school tour. Your children are invited to attend too.
  • Tours are held once a month during the school term and last approximately one hour.
  • You can register for a tour date using the Book a Tour Form or by contacting the school office.
  • School tours provide an opportunity to see the school in action, including a visit to the 4 Year Old Kindergarten Class or 3 Year Old Kindergarten Class on Thursday tours.
