I cannot say it better!

Beloved, the article below from LifeSiteNews by Faustina Bowen captures everything needed for families not only to survive in this hostile wilderness, but to thrive. The Lord is on our side and will never cease to supply our every need as we walk with Him and live for Him as the true soldiers of Christ we are called to be.

Strong families will be the ones to save the Church during these troubling times

Families draw their power from the fact that they are the ones who really control the future. Fathers and mothers have the power and the duty to raise the next generation of soldiers for Jesus Christ.

(From LifeSiteNews Wed Feb 14, 2024 – by Faustina Bowen)

“No matter how heroic some Jesuits are today, the Church of Rome has lost to others the invaluable support and services of the one body of men that, in its pristine form, could have halted the destruction wrought by those hurricanes of change that began in the sixties… What emerged… was liberal minded partisanship that quickly solidified into a totalitarianism of thought, an approach so dogmatic that what at the beginning seemed a refreshing clarity of vision, quickly became a trap of self-righteous, self-justifying moralism. All who disagreed were considered to be immoral. Conservatism or traditionalism was not tolerated. Those who were guilty of either suffered… Some remained Jesuits, but took refuge among more tolerant clerical colleagues in parish work and elsewhere… The Jesuits could once more have made the difference between a Church in shambles… But the Jesuits will not be the ones to save the day now for the Roman Catholic Church.”

Do these excerpts from Malachi Martin’s book The Jesuits: The Society of Jesus and the Betrayal of the Roman Catholic Church sound at all like what we are witnessing today, not in just the Society of Jesus, but the Church as a whole under a Jesuit leader? To me, the tactics used against anyone who questions the regime are strikingly similar to this description of what happened to many Jesuits after the Second Vatican Council. But since I don’t want this to be a depressing article, I want to focus on the last sentence of the quote, “But the Jesuits will not be the ones to save the day now for the Roman Catholic Church.” This will, of course, bring up this question: Who will it be then? Now, before you start thinking of religious orders, look much closer to yourself. To your families. I can’t help but feel like good, strong families will be the ones to save the Church during this troubling time in history.

Oh For Such Shepherds!

Beloved, we have not been in the habit of sending out many emails. However, of late, with the growing confusion in the Church and, in particular, the destruction of the family reaching at what seems an all-time high, I want to pass on every sign of goodness, truth and hope given us. Here is one such magnificent sign from LifeSiteNews on the importance of the family as the very cell of civilization and of prelates who actually believe the Faith!

God bless you and your families as we approach Gaudate Sunday, beginning the second half of Advent!

Mother Miriam of the Lamb of God, O.S.B.

In Time for Christmas!

Beloved, our Advent/Christmas newsletter (our first newsletter since last Christmas!) will be in the mail by the end of next week. It will include the attached product brochure – a 50-70% off sale on all items!

As you can guess, we will not be making a profit on any of the items, but in the process of unpacking at our new location in Winnsboro, we realized that we yet have quite a supply of wonderful books, CDs, DVDs, holy cards and other items that are of no use to anyone if they stay with us. So we’ve put together this brochure to send them out to as many as wish them, as long as the supply of each item lasts. You will see that the DVD of the highly acclaimed film, “Unplanned,” is free – because we received a large quantity of them as a gift!

Our website is not yet set up as a “store”; so we need to do this the old-fashioned way of printing out the brochure and mailing it to us at our new address together with your check or credit card information. If you do not have the ability to print it out, simply use any paper to list what you wish and mail it to us with your check or credit card information asked for on the brochure.

You will see that we’ve somewhat categorized the products (e.g. Christmas, Easter, etc.); however, the products can be used as gifts (or for yourself!) for multiple purposes and seasons (especially the Easter products while yet available at these prices).

You are in our prayers for a most blessed and holy Advent, followed by a blessed and holy Christmastide. Our newsletter, coming soon!, covers the whole of Advent through the beginning of Christmas on Christmas Eve all the way to its traditional end on the Feast of the Presentation of Our Lord in the Temple (Candlemas) on February 2nd.

We are the richest people in the world to have the faith that has been freely given to us. A thousand eternities would not be sufficient to thank the Divine Infant who came to die . . . for us, and for our salvation. I pray we will use every circumstance, especially the increasingly dark and evil circumstances of our day, to spread the whole Gospel to the whole world, and to every soul who comes our way.

Our love, prayers, and deepest wishes for a most blessed Holy Season for you and your loved ones,

Mother Miriam of the Lamb of God, O.S.B.

The Truth About Bishop Strickland

Beloved, you are probably aware by now of the Holy Father’s removal of Bishop Joseph Strickland of Tyler, Texas, which took place last Saturday. As a relatively new religious congregation invited to the Diocese of Tyler by Bishop Strickland a little more than a year ago, we are understandably sick at heart. But we know that it is Christ Who is building His Church, against which the gates of hell will not prevail.

Among the numerous articles, posts and podcasts that have circulated this week, I wanted to be sure you watched the one below. I have been in Tyler long enough now and have been with Bishop Strickland often enough to know the truth which Deacon Keith Fournier speaks. One can match any article or podcast against this one, spoken by one who is closest to Bishop Strickland and seconded by all who love and truly know this holy man of God.

Please do pray for Bishop Strickland, his successor, and the sheep of his diocese who are downtrodden at present by a hierarchy who seems bent on promoting those in grave sin and destroying those who are strong, orthodox and faithful to the teachings of Christ.

May Our Lord and Our Lady be honored by our love
and trust as we await His Holy Will.
Mother Miriam of the Lamb of God, O.S.B.

“For Zion’s sake, I will not keep Silent” (Isaiah 62)

Beloved, Our Lord has given us a shepherd with the heart of the prophet Isaiah who, in anguish, cannot cease to speak until God’s Word and Name be honored again among His people.

Here is the interview with His Excellency Bishop Joseph Edward Strickland only 6 hours after he was removed this past Saturday as Bishop of Tyler, Texas, by Pope Francis. God alone has raised up this humble and holy prelate to shepherd His flock, just as He has raised up countless others to lead His people in the midst of the enemy’s strategies to destroy His Church. No One can destroy what God has built – not from without, not from within. The gates of Hell will not prevail.

Adversity does not change us; it shows what we’re made of. It does my heart good, with no surprise whatsoever, to see and hear the beautiful and solidly-Catholic heart of this Successor of the Apostles as he models for us what truth and commitment to the truth, or as the Bishop himself would say, to “Truth Incarnate”, means. Please continue to pray for Bishop Strickland and, as he himself asks, for Pope Francis. May God’s Name be praised in all He allows and in His ways of bringing good out of evil.

With our love and prayers for our true Shepherd,
Mother Miriam of the Lamb of God, O.S.B.

One of the Greatest Talks Ever Given

Beloved, many of you know that I believe that the family is God’s number one design to build His Kingdom and, therefore, the enemy’s number one target to destroy. All the degradation in our world — and, sadly, in our Church at present — has as its aim the destruction of the family. It is a painful situation and time to be living in.

I have anguished trying to figure out what we can do, how we can help families, and one another, to truly be in the world and not of it. I know that many of you, especially with children who are fighting through this battle daily, are anguishing as well.

I do not know another or greater solution for the survival of the family — of our families — in the anti-Catholic and increasingly evil culture of our day than Michael Matt’s talk in the video below. I pray you will forward it on to as many as you can. I do not think it far-fetched to say that our very salvation and the salvation of civilization is at stake.

With our love and daily prayers,
Mother Miriam of the Lamb of God, O.S.B.

Hope for the Church!

Beloved Family, I just now watched the conversion story of Father James Mawdsley and cannot keep it to myself. Many of you have already known of him and of his conversion to the Catholic Church, especially those who have attended the Catholic Identity Conference. The rest of us must. That is my opinion, of course, but I see no other hope for the Church in this dark night than holy, courageous priests who are willing to give their all for the One Who gave His all for us.

Perhaps, through his message, each of us might be willing – or converted – to truly be who God has called us to be, without hesitation, without compromise.

Our love and prayers for you all,
Mother Miriam

Mother Miriam’s Final Vows

“Now to Him who by the power at work within us is able to do far more abundantly than all that we ask or think, to Him be glory in the church and in Christ Jesus to all generations, for ever and ever. Amen.” (Ephesians 3:20,21)

Mother Miriam of the Lamb of God made the solemn profession of her final vows before Bishop Joseph Strickland on August 15, the feast of the Assumption, at St. Joseph the Worker parish in Tyler, Texas. The first member of her community to take final vows, Mother Miriam began the Daughters of Mary, Mother of Israel’s Hope, in 2008 and leads the community as its Prioress. Watch now in this exclusive feature presentation from LifeSiteNews the moment in which Mother Miriam of the Lamb of God takes her final vows before Bishop Strickland.
