After two years of cancellation due to the pandemic, the vows ceremony of Queen Margrethe II of Denmark has resumed its annual routine.

On January 3, the sovereign swapped the royal blue dress she had worn for more than 25 years, for a similar creation.
But burgundy red.
With the exception of the patterns on the initial dress, everything is there: the mink affixed to the collar and the cuffs (black this time), the honorary distinctions, the scarf, and the white gloves.

A dress as a gift
The palace explains that this piece, made by the designers of the Danish luxury brand Wichmann Couture, was offered to the monarch by the association of craftsmen of the capital, on the occasion of her Golden Jubilee (50 years of reign) at the end of 2022. During this ceremony, organized at Copenhagen City Hall on November 12, Queen Margrethe II emerged from her carriage dressed in a fuchsia suit topped with a black velvet cape, signing a another arrival in majesty.
