Beautiful morning for a hike! A thin skiff of snow, not enough to use snowshoes if that’s your thing, sunny and mild. Trail is easy to follow although there are quite a few different interesting routes in the area. Doing the trail clockwise from the parking lot gets the incline done right away and you see the beautiful mountain views right away and then descend into a valley through forest but still get some great mountain range views. The descend is a bit slippery and shady portions of the trail are a little icey. Decent winter hiking. 4/5 because of the ice.
Some parts were icy or muddy but trail was manageable with winter boots. Viewpoint had gorgeous views, took lots of time taking photos throughout the hike (forgot to pause during these times, hence our long trail time). Without stopping it probably would have taken an hour and a half the whole loop.
