In order to promote her third studio album, Manic, Halsey released four compilation extended plays through Capitol Records. The EPs were released digitally only.

The first EP, Manic: Revenge EP, was released on November 13, 2020. The songs included on the EP are taken from Manic and Halsey's debut album, Badlands, respectively. The EP was released without prior announcement or promotion.

The third EP, Manic: Is She Like, You Know..., was released on December 4, 2020. The title is referencing a famous meme where the "you know..." refers to being gay. The EP also includes a song from her second album, Hopeless Fountain Kingdom, and is the first collaboration EP to include collaborations.
There was originally a mix up between the cover art of Is She Like, You Know... and ...Or Are You Normal? EP.[1]
