As a teenager in the early ‘90s growing up in the muddy potato fields of Idaho, Németh was drawn to the hard-edged hip hop sounds and rock bands of the day, until a friend, Tom Moore, introduced him to the Junior Wells and Buddy Guy classic “Hoodoo Man Blues.” Together they formed Fat John & the 3 Slims, which is still regarded as a legendary band in the Boise region. John played harp and sang in local bands, often opening the show for nationally touring blues acts and quickly caught the ear of established blues musicians. Meghan Parnell and Dave Barnes are the driving force behind Bywater Call, a powerhouse 7-piece Southern Soul, Roots Rock band out of Toronto, Canada

Formed in 2017, the band has received an Independent Blues and multiple Maple Blues Award nominations including Entertainer of the Year and Best Female Vocalist for the 2023 Awards Season. They have toured extensively in Europe over the last few years, including in May and June of 2022, featuring a mainstage appearance at the Netherlands’ premiere blues festival MOULIN BLUES. Additionally, The B-Street Band performed before Bruce shows at Wachovia, MetLife Stadium, Prudential Center, and the newly constructed Comcast Xfinity Center at Citizens Bank Park The B-Street Band’s unprecedented legacy continued as they represented NJ at both inaugurations for President Obama in 2009 and NJ Governor Chris Christie in 2010. The B-Street Band was the first to ever perform live on TV’s Fox Business News Channel, broadcast coast to coast. Check out a video of that performance! The Philadelphia Eagles knew a good thing when they saw it and asked the B-Street Band to perform at all of their home games in 2013. The band also demonstrated their talents at several events for the NJ Devils including a performance at the Stanley Cup playoffs in front of a sold-out crowd of 16,000 fans. Manager Joe Maddon of the Tampa Bay Rays is not only a fan of the band but is a childhood friend of keyboardist Will Forte and first introduced Springsteen’s music to the band founder in 1972. The band has performed at several spring training games for the Rays over years along with private parties. Jon Stewart of the Daily Show has enjoyed numerous performances over the years and has admitted to Bruce and in an article to Rolling Stone Magazine that the only band he has seen more than the Boss is the B-Street Band!

Unforgettable Fire, or “UF”, was born on New Years Day in 1995 as one of the very first U2 tribute bands to ever perform in America. After twenty years of playing in some of the most prestigious venues on the East Coast, UF has formed a reputation among many to be one of the closest experiences to being at an actual live U2 show. The members of UF are also very dedicated fans of U2, and will not settle for anything less than complete authenticity. In addition to performing a very impressive array of U2 material from pre-Boy to the most recent Songs of Innocence and beyond, the band does everything in their power (from wardrobe to lighting) to recreate the live U2 concert setting for their audiences. In 2015, UF was invited to perform at The Cutting Room in New York City for the 20th Anniversary Party for the U2 fan website ”@U2.” Not planned was the sudden and surprise appearance of both The Edge and Adam Clayton, who showed up a little before 9:00 PM and played two songs with UF—much to the shock and delight of everyone in the club. One of UF’s last founding members from 1995, drummer George (Larry) Levesanos, still performs with the band. George is a veteran drummer on the New York City music scene and has performed in many other projects before forming UF. Joining the band in the summer of 2001 was singer Tony (Bono) Russo. Over the years, Tony has brought UF to a new level of authenticity as he is regarded as one of the country’s top Bono look-a-likes. In late 2002, bassist Craig (Adam) Kiell added his top notch musicianship, experience, and stage presence to the band and has been a crucial part of the solid rhythm section ever since. Late 2004 brought Mick (Edge) Normoyle to the band to complete the last piece of its puzzle in its quest to have the truest, most authentic live U2 sound. The Sensational Soul Cruisers are an 11 man horn group fronted by four soulful vocalists who pay homage and tribute to classic performers from Otis Redding and the Drifters to Barry White and the Commodores. With a lifetime of study and hard work, this group captures and emulates the distinctive style, skill and choreography of a classic show band. The Soul Cruisers are former members of famous R & B and smooth soul groups, capturing the true essence of the Jersey Shore sound and its true R&B roots, the classic Philly Soul, Motown, Disco, Stax, and the music of Earth, Wind & Fire, Chicago. While the group has been known as the Soul Cruisers for the past 18 years, the rhythm section was known for many years prior to that, being the band behind Eddie Testa, as Eddie and the Cruisers. Kilmaine Saints is a band formed on good whiskey and bad intentions. The brainchild of two members of a Harrisburg Pipe & Drum band, this side project was originally created with the sole intent of getting them free beer at St Patrick’s Day shows in the Central PA area (and might I add – mission accomplished). After incorporating the help of fellow members from the pipe band and other notable musicians from the area, they soon realized they were in for one hell of a ride. Since 2009 they have continued to pound through blistering, high-energy live sets that keep people singing along, stomping their feet, lifting their pints and shouting for more.

There may not be a more honest bluesman than Mike Zito, whose 15th album ‘First Class Life’ comes out May 11 on Ruf Records. The rocking yet poignant title track explores his journey from addiction to sobriety and then musical recognition; he is a two-time 2017 Blues Music Award nominee. “Second chance at a first class life,” he sings, recalling the hard times.
