Mandy Moore is expecting her first child with Taylor Goldsmith: 'Baby Boy Goldsmith coming'

Mandy Moore is taking on a new role: motherhood. 

The "This Is Us" star, 36, revealed Thursday on Instagram that she's expecting a baby boy with her musician husband Taylor Goldsmith, the first child for the couple. 

"Baby Boy Goldsmith coming early 2021," Moore captioned several black-and-white pictures of Goldsmith sweetly cradling her growing baby bump. Goldsmith shared the same post on his Instagram account. 

Moore tied the knot with Goldsmith, lead singer of the folk-rock band Dawes, on Nov. 18, 2018, and wore a whimsical pink wedding dress. She was previously married to singer/songwriter Ryan Adams for seven years before splitting in 2016.

"A year ago I married my favorite person in the world and I still pinch myself over whatever magic brought us into each other’s lives. You continue to set the bar high for the rest of the world (as a partner, brother, son, bandmate, friend, etc)," Moore wrote on Instagram in celebration of their first anniversary in 2019. 

Now, Goldsmith can add "father" to that list. His latest role is already serving up musical inspiration: "Husband just wrote this to celebrate the news," Moore captioned a video she shared.

In it, Goldsmith sits behind a keyboard while he sings about "the kids books I really enjoy. All the little outfits and my favorite toys. … We are going to have a little baby boy."

Moore has also had some practice in starring as matriarch Rebecca Pearson on "This Is Us." Season 5 started shooting on Thursday: "Mama Pearson ready to go," she wrote on her Instagram Story.
