        Pros

Your own schedule which day end up penalizing you for regardless

        Cons

This has been by far the worst company I’ve ever worked for trying to make a dollar they will literally send you on 10+ mile deliveries and actually pay you two dollars which obviously you spent more in gas. This is the most ridiculous company if I did you a favor, it’s by telling you do not Rely on Doordash even for part-time pay. They just use an abuse their drivers they even find ways to not pay the two dollar base pay for this greedy gig company as the drivers made the company. They treat them as modern day slaves every single day with horrible deceptive practices that work against the driver favoring them always never taken care of their drivers whatsoever.!

          Pros

Sometimes u can dash by the hour an it has its perks here an there. Also in peak periods u get extra bonuses an pay onto top of your base pay either hourly or by the offers.

          Cons

Sometimes u have long leriods just sitting there twiddling your thumbs waiting on an order to pop up. Another is u go 5 or more miles to a so called Hotspot that's reading busy on Dasher map. An then when u get to the spot it's not hot anymore. An then u have to fuel up constantly becuz it sometimes takes u very far places an stuff. An lastly u could be out dashing all day foe bout 10 to 12 hours. An depending on where the locations are if they are far or not. The base pay an tips of the trip or dash per offers. U can easily get deterred away from dashing. If u been out all night an day dashing an for 12 hours of work ur bring home pay is $25 to $30 for the day. Then ur either not trying hard enuff to get the best or drive to the best Hotspots an take the best offers. Don't take every delivery the comes on your screen. Be contentious an mindful of your time, the mileage an also fuel costs an how long doordash allots the time it takes to pick up an deliver within the allot time doing it effectively, efficiently, safely an politely an quickly.

            Pros

Flexibility: One of the significant advantages of working for DoorDash is the flexibility it offers. Dashers can choose when and where they want to work, allowing for a better work-life balance. Extra Income: DoorDash can be an excellent source of additional income, especially for those looking to supplement their primary income or make money during their free time. Easy to Start: Getting started with DoorDash is relatively easy. The application process is straightforward, and there are minimal requirements for becoming a Dasher. Tips and Bonuses: Dashers have the potential to earn tips from customers, and DoorDash sometimes offers bonuses or incentives for completing a certain number of deliveries during peak times. No Boss: As an independent contractor, you are your own boss. You have control over your schedule, routes, and working conditions.

            Cons

Variable Earnings: DoorDash earnings can be inconsistent and highly dependent on factors such as location, time of day, and market demand. Some days or hours may be more profitable than others. Expenses: Dashers are responsible for their own expenses, including gas, maintenance, and wear and tear on their vehicles. These costs can significantly impact overall earnings. Limited Benefits: Gig workers for DoorDash do not typically receive traditional employment benefits such as health insurance, retirement plans, or paid time off. Wear and Tear on Vehicle: The constant use of your vehicle for deliveries can lead to increased maintenance costs and depreciation. This is a consideration, especially for those who rely on their cars for personal use. No Job Security: Gig workers are not employees, and DoorDash can change its policies or terminate Dashers' access to the platform without the job security that traditional employment provides. Customer Service Issues: Dashers may encounter challenges related to customer service, such as dealing with delivery issues, incorrect orders, or difficult customers.

                      Cons

Easily the most dysfunctional company I’ve ever worked for. Hilariously bad management. Culture that promotes short-term revenue at all costs, including the psychological well-being of its employees. The tech stack is the worst I’ve ever seen. Completely unscalable, and buggy. It’s a tied together with rubber bands and duct tape. Expect to work under highly stressful conditions on projects that you’re embarrassed to be working on because they’re such broken experiences, riddled with bugs. I believe that I became a worse product manager working here because I learned such bad habits. It’s shocking this company is successful as it is.

Had a great interview with a recruiter last week & went past the allocated time. We discussed the role, my skills, the company, & even shared stories about our dogs. They mentioned that they were impressed with the candidates they had interviewed that day (including me) & should hear back by Tuesday or Wednesday. It's now Wednesday evening & I haven't heard back. I plan to reach out, but the uncertainty is making it difficult to stay motivated. Rant over. Thanks for reading!
