        Pros

Sometimes u can dash by the hour an it has its perks here an there. Also in peak periods u get extra bonuses an pay onto top of your base pay either hourly or by the offers.

        Cons

Sometimes u have long leriods just sitting there twiddling your thumbs waiting on an order to pop up. Another is u go 5 or more miles to a so called Hotspot that's reading busy on Dasher map. An then when u get to the spot it's not hot anymore. An then u have to fuel up constantly becuz it sometimes takes u very far places an stuff. An lastly u could be out dashing all day foe bout 10 to 12 hours. An depending on where the locations are if they are far or not. The base pay an tips of the trip or dash per offers. U can easily get deterred away from dashing. If u been out all night an day dashing an for 12 hours of work ur bring home pay is $25 to $30 for the day. Then ur either not trying hard enuff to get the best or drive to the best Hotspots an take the best offers. Don't take every delivery the comes on your screen. Be contentious an mindful of your time, the mileage an also fuel costs an how long doordash allots the time it takes to pick up an deliver within the allot time doing it effectively, efficiently, safely an politely an quickly.

          Pros

Flexibility: One of the significant advantages of working for DoorDash is the flexibility it offers. Dashers can choose when and where they want to work, allowing for a better work-life balance. Extra Income: DoorDash can be an excellent source of additional income, especially for those looking to supplement their primary income or make money during their free time. Easy to Start: Getting started with DoorDash is relatively easy. The application process is straightforward, and there are minimal requirements for becoming a Dasher. Tips and Bonuses: Dashers have the potential to earn tips from customers, and DoorDash sometimes offers bonuses or incentives for completing a certain number of deliveries during peak times. No Boss: As an independent contractor, you are your own boss. You have control over your schedule, routes, and working conditions.

          Cons

Variable Earnings: DoorDash earnings can be inconsistent and highly dependent on factors such as location, time of day, and market demand. Some days or hours may be more profitable than others. Expenses: Dashers are responsible for their own expenses, including gas, maintenance, and wear and tear on their vehicles. These costs can significantly impact overall earnings. Limited Benefits: Gig workers for DoorDash do not typically receive traditional employment benefits such as health insurance, retirement plans, or paid time off. Wear and Tear on Vehicle: The constant use of your vehicle for deliveries can lead to increased maintenance costs and depreciation. This is a consideration, especially for those who rely on their cars for personal use. No Job Security: Gig workers are not employees, and DoorDash can change its policies or terminate Dashers' access to the platform without the job security that traditional employment provides. Customer Service Issues: Dashers may encounter challenges related to customer service, such as dealing with delivery issues, incorrect orders, or difficult customers.

            Pros

The work is engaging depending on what team you are on. If you are someone who always wants to solve new problems , there is no shortage of those here.

            Cons

Work life balance is a mess, expect long hours and hectic weekends depending on how good a manager you have. There is always an option to set your boundaries but tbh more you set boundaries to your wlb the less your growth prospects are going to be.

              Pros

I was in a management position and I can tell you from the inside in, leadership at DoorDash is HORRIBLE. If you enjoy Jr high level mentality, then this is the spot for you. There is so much fakeness, favoritism, and sexism within the company. Just ask the employees who constantly report it in the surveys yet nothing changes! If you report inappropriate behavior to leadership, you are now viewed as the enemy. THIS IS NOT A SAFE SPACE TO WORK IN.

              Cons

                Cons

Too many Dashers can oversaturate an area and make it so there are less dashes per day per driver

                  Pros

Delivery Fees and Prices: The cost of using DoorDash can be high due to delivery fees, service charges, and sometimes higher menu prices on the app. Inconsistent Delivery Experience: The quality of the delivery experience can vary based on the individual Dasher and restaurant preparation times. Order Issues: There’s a risk of receiving wrong or incomplete orders, and resolving issues may require dealing with customer service.

                  Cons

High Commission Fees: DoorDash charges restaurants commission fees for each order, which can significantly eat into profits. Lack of Control Over Delivery Experience: Restaurants have limited control over the delivery process and customer experience once the food leaves their premises. Dependency Risk: Some businesses may become overly dependent on third-party delivery apps for their revenue.

Being able to create your own schedule. Being able to end the day with you need to. Being able to work anywhere that in the app.

                    Cons

Planning ahead you schedule If you want to work that day but didn't schedule yourself you probably won't work as much or make as much as you want to. The amount of mile put on the car isn't worth it.

                        Pros

Scheduling can be flexible to work around another job

                        Cons

They haze you first, low and non tipping orders, the orders the other dashers decline, they allow any ratings from customers even bogus ones and the quality of jobs you can be assigned depends on that. DoorDash will not remove a bad rating even if it’s bogus because nothing went wrong in the delivery. You get punished for basically just a customer being mean. DoorDash “support” isn’t supportive, the instructions said if you feel you have an unfair rating to contact them so I did. I waited 15 mins to get a weird reply finally and then the support team member told me she was ending the chat because I wasn’t replying even though it had only been a minute since I received her response and it wasn’t helpful nor was it a question. She then scolded me for asking about the review even though it says to contact them. There should be quality feedback on decisions that affect pay.

I have had 2 interviews thus far with a company one with the Sr HR mgr and another with a hiring manager. I was informed that I would be moving to the next steps. What could that be being that I have already interviewed with the hiring manager?

                      Specialist

Recruiter called me hours after my 2nd interview to tell me the conversations went well. I sent thank you email 2 business days after the interview & they replied saying they would know next steps by end of week. It's been 7 business days since that & 2 weeks since the interview. When is an appropriate time for a second follow up? The listing is still up and got reposted on LinkedIn. Sometimes that is automatic, but does this mean they are looking for a better fit and I am the back-up plan?

                      Manager

I applied for an internal position and had an informal conversation with the hiring manager. He didn’t seem sold on me and said he’d talk to my current manager to come with a development plan, but that has not happened. A candidate came into interview today and I never got any further update on my application. So, I’m assuming I’m not being considered. I found another opportunity posted today that’s not as big a promotion and at a different location. Is it ok apply even though I have one open?
