At Magdalen Bridge Boathouse you can hire punts, rowing boats or pedalos for an hour or, if you want to make a day of it, stay on the river as long as you like, returning your boat to the boathouse at least half an hour before sunset. This classic Oxford experience should not be missed!
For the ultimate in relaxation we offer our customers a chauffeured punting service. The cost for a chauffeured punt ride is £45 per 30 mins. A highly experienced trained punter can take up to four passengers out onto the River Cherwell for as long as is required on one of our beautiful hand crafted Oxford punts.

Situated underneath Magdalen College Tower, at the lower end of Oxford’s world famous high street you will find Magdalen Bridge Boathouse.
Here you can hire traditionally crafted punts, rowing boats and pedalos or spoil yourself by hiring a Chauffeured boat.
We can also supply a pre-ordered picnic hamper with your chauffeured punt if requested.
Opening Times:
We are open 7 days a week from the 1st of February (weather permitting) to the 30th of November, between 9.30am – 9.00pm (or 1 hour before sunset).

You do not have to book in advance, but on a busy weekend day it is advisable.
Boat Hire Terms: Boat hire is subject to our boat hire Terms & Conditions. Boats returned more than 5 minutes after the hour will incur an extra 15 minutes hire cost – and then a further 15 minutes charge, 20 minutes after the hour and so on.

Walking Tours of Oxford are a local company offering tailor-made private guided tours as well as a ‘Discover Oxford University’ tour, a ‘Discover Morse/Lewis and Endeavour’ tour and a ‘Discover Harry Potter in Oxford’ tour.
There is no need to book a boat in advance on a Monday to Friday. Please just turn up and one will be made available for you.
