M.A.S Records was conceived in 1999, along with the Music Industry course, as an outlet for College artists and community projects. The Music Industry students dedicated to create their own label and M.A.S Records was born.

Music of all types forging new genres, leading rock into new and uncharted territories, a mix of pop and experimentation.

M.A.S is intent on building up artists, promoting newcomers and establishing them.

The label aims to develop a viable niche market for music and related sectors, to strengthen wider community links by offering a framework of resources, training and support to develop local talent.

The CD also includes a little bit about the bands themselves. there are also URLs, but I won't inlude these, as seeing as the CD was pressed in 2000, these have more than likely expired.

CRUX SOUTH: Power pop juggernaut on their weird route that takes in re-rolled psuchedelia, hip-hop and other rubbery metallic fiffs, building songs into aural soup. [Sounds delicious - J.]

WEAK 13: Weak 13 are a six peice ounit and describe themselves as the dark overlords of hip-hop thrash. Formed in 1999 they have taken rap and rock into a new direction. Temple smashing intellectual anarchy.

B-MOVIE HEROES - Pop music at the first order from the K.C. Misfits, a combination of student drinking songs and political commitment, B-movie heroes remind you of ever band you ever loved. Full-on glory.

PRIORY OF BRION - The first official release of priory of brion showcases Kelvyn Gammond's unique guitar style alongside the great vocals of Robert Plant. Kelvyn and Robert played together in the cult outfit Band of Joy, with John Bonham spawning Led Zeppelin [Apparently, the only recorded track by the band - J.]

KING RICH - King Rich's music is a wash of sinister sea shantied, crazed carnival music, doom laden dirges. Songs that tell you of the fool being a crusader of knowledge and love. He entertains with that which is often taboo socially, but tomorrow may be a friend.

KOPNA KOPNA - Kopna Kopna are brimming with thundering rock and roll energy stretching the sound into electronic assault systems. Fresh and unstoppobale [Like diarrhoeah, then - J.]
