I pre-ordered this music Lover music collection by Taylor Swift via Amazon on June 21, 2019 and with that option obtained the following songs within a short time frame as part of the pre-order deal: Me feat. Brendon Urie of Panic! At The Disco, The Archer, Lover, and You Need To Calm Down. Those songs are good to listen to in their own right. However, I admit that I heard some metaphorical/ intriguing storytelling qualities in the songs Miss Americana & The Heartbreak Prince, London Boy, I Think He Knows etc. I am glad that I took a chance on pre-ordering this music collection because my enjoyment of this music collection increases with each listen. A multiple number of the songs on this music collection of Lover by Taylor Swift has some pop and indie music meldings/indie dance meldings which makes this Lover music collection ideal for eclectic music listeners who are receptive to listening to multiple forms of indie music.

Gorgeous pressing. The first record is a bubblegum solid pink and the second one is a transparent light teal. The album itself is so underrated, probably because of ME! and You Need to Calm Down. One thing about Taylor Swift is shes always gonna choose terrible singles. Love her though. Anyways, Lover is such a feel-good album and her absolute best love song (Daylight) is a perfect closing track. It’s the perfect pop album. It’s feel-good, fun, and gives you a rare insight on her relationship. Obsessed.

In light of this album being done quickly, and also being disappointed with the unoriginal and vacuous "ME!" and "You Need to Calm Down," I bought this work out of longtime respect for Taylor Swift, notwithstanding some of the questionable choices, both musically and politically, she has made in recent years.

I was pleasantly surprised.

There are some sincere, gorgeous songs on this record, including "The Archer" (beautiful 80s synthesizer throwback that keeps building), "Cornelia Street" (an upbeat dirge for the fragility of romance), and "Daylight" (a robust tour de force that reminds you why she can-- still-- sell out any stadium in the U.S.).

But if you can believe this, I think my favorite song is the soothing innocence of "It's Nice To Have A Friend."

School bell rings, walk me home / Sidewalk chalk covered in snow / Lost my gloves, you give me one / "Wanna hang out?" / Yeah, sounds like fun / Video games, you pass me a note / Sleeping in tents / It's nice to have a friend.

You hear that song and want to remember that younger Swift with an acoustic guitar singing her youthful poetry in her room, which later connected with so many. Talented artist, and "Lover" (2019) is effective when it wants to be.

I'm used to hearing the greats over and over (the Beatles, Led Zeppelin, Pink Floyd, Madonna, Fleetwood Mac, etc.) and this kid rates up there. On TV I was impressed by her class and guitar playing. I bought 3 of her albums to get a good sample and she's consistently good track to track though I don't lend much attention to her lyrics that seem to have brought her additional fame. She's interesting to listen to as her music is easy to listen to. Great artist and good purchase I recommend as a newbie.
