Who are you, and what are you doing in my kitchen? I'm Louise, and I run<a href="http://theinterestingpeopleproject.wordpress.com/" rel="nofollow"> </a>The Cutprice Guignol, a pop culture/feminism/general snark blog. I just passed my four-year blogerversary, and thought it was about time that I reached out to my fabulous readership to jingle my charity box. And what exactly do you want from me? Recently, the blog has been picking up some steam and I decided I'd try and raise money for it. I just hit 1,000 followers, and figured that it'd be worth my while seeing if anyone wanted to support the work I've done on the blog. I've been doing this completely for free up until now, and while I seriously love writing for the Guignol and interacting with my readers, I am a freelance writer by profession and time that I spend writing for the Guignol is time taken away from projects that I use to pay my rent with. I'm not going to quit writing the blog no matter how much or little I end up with, to be clear, but having some regular form of income from it would let me justify more time spent creating new content, which I would love to do! So, what can I expect if I sponsor you? As well as regular TV recaps (shows so far have included Vikings, Doctor Who, Riverdale, and American Horror Story) and general TV/Movie reviews and recommendations, I write about sexuality, mental health, feminism and lots of other meaty topics that get shared all over the web. If you become a patron, not only will you get access to some awesome rewards (check 'em out below!) but I'll be able to put aside more time to post regular, in-depth blog posts to The Cutprice Guignol. I've also set out some goals for reaching certain funding milestone so take a look at those if you'd like to know what to expect from a newly-funded Guignol. The money will go towards living costs, and  moving the blog from Wordpress to it's own domain, hopefully by the end of the year if enough of my readers are kind enough to sponsor me.
