This package contains her fifth and eighth albums, and doesnt have a bad track on it. Live from earth has eigth live tracks that are (for the most part) her best songs to the fourth album, and two studio tracks. Lipstick lies, and the world-wide smash hit, Love is a Battlefield. The version on this album contains no remixed or edited parts, and is the reason (in my opinion) this album was such as big success. And the only flaw, besides the occasionally drowned out vocals, is that I Want Out, We Live for Love, and Hell is for Children is run into a big 14 minute track. But since i always listen to her albums without skiping songs, this isnt a problem.
As for Wide Awake in Dreamland, this is her best album, and is the most "mature" of the '80's releases. I say this because, unlike previous albums, she doesnt just dabble with the writing, she and her husband, along with long time drummer, Myron Grombacher, wrote about 80% of the material, only Don't walk away and Cerberal man, and part of All Fired Up, were written by anyone else. And it shows that they know what they're doing, with songs about anti-war, child abuse (another kind of Hell is for children is on this album)the current state of modern America, and people staying together that show she can rock them as hard as Heartbreaker, Treat Me Right, and Fire and Ice. On the definate plus side, there are songs on here that are longer than other versions, and no track mix ups like on the Live from Earth cd. These are truly amazing recordings, and at the 2-fer-1 price, its nuts to pass this up.
