That car itself is a crime. Soviet engineering...
Apparently, it was the only model that was capable of going on terrible roads. This particular car was ment for bringing medicine to villages that didn't have better roads.
Those vans always look cute to me.
questions you ask yourself when you see this thing in person:
why did Ukraine have to still use these god forsaken things as ambulances in 2022
who in their right mind shoots an ambulance
who in their right mind shoots such a cute boi
Ukraine is not some rich european country, it suffered from the same economic problems as the rest of post-USSR did, if not worse. So, I am willing to bet that a lot of these cars are still working as ambulances along outer rims of the country.
that question is rhetorical; obviously Ukraine is poor. But the ambulances in the Baltic states are completely modern. When you see the van in person, you definitely feel a strong sense of injustice about how we couldn't take Ukraine with us for the ride up.
After the decentralization reform, everything is fine in many communities and they have normal ambulances. But in some communities, there are practically no enterprises and revenues to the budget are minimal. Therefore, they cannot afford a modern ambulance. It can also be mountainous regions where a regular ambulance is not suitable, and maybe they have a regular more or less modern ambulance, but still use this one, because a special 4x4 is also very expensive. And we are poor, even in my city fire department is still using USSR vehicles and it has just one or two cars donated by Germany. And its region (oblast) center.
I don't think we've had to use soviet emergency vehicles for years. I mostly tried to express sadness that Ukraine didn't experience the same success we did
why did Ukraine have to still use these god forsaken things as ambulances in 2022
I have a feeling that it would still be in use even in 2040...
Psst, russia is using them even more (even as ambulances) and most likely will continue that for many years. Ukraine, on the other hand, will surely avoid buying any russian crap for the next generations.
Yep, they are! They are called "buhanka" in Ukraine and Russia, which means "a loaf". Of bread, that is.
Ooo gerai, ačiū!
The best and cheapest
I'm wondering if vatinks will bring flowers...
I think they only worship tanks and washing machines.
Where is this located, and how long will it be there? I'd like to see it when I come on Friday
It'll be there the whole week, then it will be moved to Riga.
Will it come to Tallinn?
Yes, also Warsaw, Berlin, Brussels and other European cities.
will it come to Tallin after Riga? I really don't want to miss it, but news usually don't get to me in time.
Lmao perfect, I live in Riga rn so I guess I won't miss it either way
Kudirka square. I don't know how long it will be there.
Russophobe of you to think that a couple of bullets may imply war crimes on behalf of RuZZia. How can you prove it was not the ambulance that drove into the bullets?!?
Bullets were just sleeping mid-air when a nazi Ukrainian ambulance, full of Azov fighters brutally hit the bullets and killed them...
Have you seen a volvo v70 that has been driven for like 200000km last year delivering medical supplies?
Kādas muļķības. Kāds vīrietis no Ukrainas, kurš tagad strādā man blakus, saka, ka viņiem pat ciemos nav šādu ātrās palīdzības mašīnu. Un medicīnas aprīkojuma salonā tikai vecas nestuves. Kāds mums melo
What nonsense. A man from Ukraine, who is now working next to me, says that they do not have such ambulances even in the villages. And in the cabin of medical equipment only old stretchers. Someone is lying to us
Tell him to go watch some Ukrainian emergency vehicle photographers on Instagram and maybe your guy will see that such UAZiks were still used in some places... Though I guess only for non-urgent emergencies.
Okay, okay, as you say. Do not be nervous, otherwise the eye will begin to twitch. I have to believe Instagram more than a person who has lived there all his life. And who himself says that the photo is ancient trash from a landfill. To a man who lived under shelling and who says that the hole in the glass was not made by a bullet or a fragment, but by unknown what and in general from the inside. I got it
Photo made in Kherson, early 2022. Yes, as you can see, they don't exist.
Photo from 2021
If it's shot from outside why does it look like a exit wound? The wounds on the side of the bus are 100% exit wounds. These all are shot from inside of the bus with great probability. Also from what you conclude which nationality pulled the trigger?
Yes. I agree. To me it looks like harmlees russian bullets were just laying next to the road when faschist Ukrainian ambulance stopped next to them and brutally kidnapped the bullets to then shoot them from inside. Then later Azov used this ambulance to eat kids and coat geese with nato bioweapon.
So how exactly does it show war crimes? All I see if a couple of bullet holes which on the front line isn’t all that shocking
The holes can't be exactly ruled out to be caused by stray bullets, we're just gonna need to take their word for it.
It's a different story if this was caused intentionally (which they probably were considering how the windscreen was hit). No matter where or when there's an ambulance or a medic on the field, shooting them in any way is a war crime.
There isn't a bullet exit hole through the divider behind the driver's seat
It's higher than the hole in the windshield. I doubt the driver was shot from below.
If its shot from a close distance the bullet’s trajectory goes up for some distance
That diagram is so blurry you mistook kilometers for meters
Why do you doubt the driver was shot from below? How tall is this bus?
Because that would basically mean that the driver was basically driving over the soldier and it would be justifiable to shoot. Are you saying it was justified to shoot at the ambulance? I doubt it. The driver caught the olive. Hopefully the soldiers catch the rope.
You can see it on fourth photo.
What a beautiful car
