Cameron Kirsten is back in Genoa City marking the return of Linden Ashby to the CBS daytime drama series.  In story, Kirsten who terrorized Sharon (Sharon Case) decades ago now has a room at the GCAC. So, just how will he turn Sharon’s world upside down this time, and those that she loves?

Speaking on the latest episode of the Soap Opera Digest podcast on his Y&R come back, Ashby related how he had been asked back to the show previously, but had to turn it down.

Y&R executive producer and head writer, Josh Griffith Jr. called and asked Linden, “Hey, can you do it now?” (referring to having Ashby reprise his role of one of the series most notorious bad guys).

When discussing his imminent return as Cameron, the actor told the Y&R showrunner, “I’m like, ‘Hey man, let’s write him bad. I’m not looking for a redemptive story here. I’m not looking to turn over a new leaf. I’m getting out of prison. It’s been 20 years. I’m coming back and I’ve got a few scores to settle .. and business to take care of.”

As to what viewers will see once Kirsten is back in action, Linden expressed, “It is pretty much go, go, go, go …  hit the ground running.”

The actor, who is married in real-life to Y&R’s Susan Walters (Diane), shared on Cameron’s current mindset, “He’s burning the town down. He feels justified and motivated for what he is doing and not about to back down for one second.”

So, are you looking forward to seeing just what Cameron Kirsten has in store for Sharon? Will this story bring Chance  and Sharon closer together … or will Nick ultimately be the one to save the day? I was watching Y&R back then, but for some reason, I don’t remember this storyline/character!

At any rate, I’m glad Sharon has her own story. She needs to be doing something other than serving friggin’ coffee!!

Hopefully they won’t drag this on for so long we totally lose interest in it!

If this story can get Sharon and Nick acting together again I’m all in! He should always be her man always was always will be they just have to look at each other and it tells the story these two have been working together since 1994! Give me Shick

Yes to Nick and Sharon
But I still want a Chance / Sharon situation before until Nick gives Sally the boot

They have a lot of the old clips on line and yikes I had even forgotten the violence wow! Seemed my girl got her house set back this show could be so good I hope LA sticks to his guns and does not let them soften his character this is a short term arc let’s let it roll . It gives JM some story he can sink his teeth into I personally am tired of him acting like a school boy man up protect the only woman you have truly loved

This Sally / Nick never worked from the beginning, writers couldn’t decide what do with the tri-group-Nick-Sally-Adam amid rumors of pregnancy, chaos… seemed like writers were confused about what to do??? Sally character is /has too much baggage from B& B to overcome… she comes off confused… while she is a great actor, the character is ????Writers should have left Nick alone , tormented Adam too, has more than enough drama, looking for answers as a character… this Victoria -Adam CEO is old and with Victor trying to control his adult children and run his empire is old news…. Again the writers have struck out… they need something new…..I could go on and own dissecting almost everyone on the show under the Newman umbrella…somebody needs to fix this once lauded show….Asap….., kudos to Trevor St.John, he is the spark that is worth watching along with Eileen Davidson….nobody can hold a candle to them on screen.

This is what viewers are begging for give us our old soap opera back to care about a couple you have to show us the love and Shick had it in spades

I will have to find this old storyline and rewatch. I missed it those years. I am looking forward to this story.

I love that Sharon is getting a decent story.I remember the story of Cameron, he is bad news.Maybe this is what it will take to get Nick back with Sharon where he belongs

Totally seriously, why do so many good looking men give in to peer pressure and end up looking sloppy and unbathed? Greg Vaughn is another one: one of the best looking men on the planet who thinks uncombed hair and a beard makes him look…what exactly?

whynot,
Thanks for helping me say what I was going to say. What gets me is how can they look in the mirror and think they look good, sexy or whatever?

The only time Sharon was an exciting character was when she was a raging bipolar character–Now she is beyond saveable–she is a want-to-be coffee-pouring Psychiatrist that has the need to analyze everybody that comes within 5 feet of her, pitiful. beyond boring..

Oh Violet, you know I’ve been on this soapbox also for a long time. Particularly about beautiful men like Chase on GH. How do you think it happens? Maybe someone (like a junior producer) muses one day, “Hmmm, there’s a really gorgeous face. Let’s hide it under a bunch of scraggle. Just like Grizzly Adams!” Can you imagine Paul Newman or Robert Redford or even John Wayne hiding their faces unless the role required it? It’s SHOW business and I want to see great faces. I’ll settle for a short, well-trimmed beard if I must but those don’t seem to be the standard.

Soaphound,
You hit the bullseye again! I can’t even add to your comment.

This Nick and Sharon storyline is so old. I do not want to see them together at all. Sharon and Adam has heated chemistry and they should be together. I would really like to see Nick with Lilly. Years ago Lilly asked Nick to go to bed with her and he never did. They should have a heated storyline for those two. As for Sally, she should go back to The Bold and The Beautiful and get back with Wyatt those two had chemistry.

Been watching Y&R for years and years. They always drag story lines on for waaaay to long. Fortunately we now have “fast forward”. That helps in many ways. Case in point Mariah and Tessa. Who can not make them interesting. No one cares FF quickly.

This comment for Beeg, my keyboard will not let me use g for the proper name Beeg in salutation, can you believe it? Anyway, just wanted to say I agree, and as a couple, boring, but if they were given a life singularly, it might fly. The baby didn’t help them, so what is the point of these two, just to have a gay couple?

I watched today I know this is going to be a short arc/but just seeing Sharon and Nick the looks today I’m sorry the love between these two has never died so they may not end up together but man they work so well together to me they will always be the end game. I get weepy just watching them.

Although a long-time viewer there were many years the job kept me away. Have little knowledge regarding what Diane did to all, nor do I know historically who Tucker is. He is intriguing.

The writers have made Jack such a weak character these past seasons, and I hope he can recapture a bit of his integrity. The program is seeming to “hold” me more than before, although who is related to whom still confuses. The young kids around the table that day were over my head. A bit silly but reading that Sally and Adam were an “item” in real life kind of throws me off. Tend to agree regarding the scuffy hair on some of the men. However all together it is a very handsome cast (whatever prefix).

The 77th annual Tony Awards will air live on CBS and stream on Paramount+ on Sunday, June 16, with Tony and Oscar winner Ariana DeBose returning to host for the third time.

Haley Pullos Receives 90-Day Jail Sentence Following DUI Charge And Wrong-Way Car Crash

Former General Hospital actress, Haley Pullos (ex-Molly Lansing-Davis) is going to be doing time in jail, exactly one-year after her arrest from a hit and run wrong-way car collision.

The crash resulted in bodily harm and damages to the other driver, and now Pullos who pleaded “no contest” to the charges and will serve 90 days in jail. She was taken in custody on Monday, April 29th, after the ruling.

According to Haley’s attorney, Mark Daniel Melnick, the 25-year-old actress struck a plea deal and after her three months in jail will be sentenced on July 29th. As part of that sentencing, she must serve five years probation, 200 hours of community service and pay $8,260 in restitution to Courteney Wilder, the other driver in the crash and her driver’s license is revoked for a year.

According to TMZ, the plea deal for Pullos has the “no contest” to one DUI, while the judge dropped the felony DUI causing bodily injury and misdemeanor hit and run charges.

Melnick said in a statement to PEOPLE, “Haley is very grateful to the court for a minimum sentence and for recognizing her remorse and the strides she has made in her sobriety.”

Pullos had played the daughter of Alexis Davis (played by Nancy Lee Grahn) on the ABC soap opera since 2009, but after her car crash and DUI she was replaced by three different actresses until the show finally settled on the current Molly, Kristen Vaganos.

Back in April 29 of 2023, and at the scene of the crash, the police found edibles and mini-bottles of tequila in Pullos’ vehicle and that she was intoxicated. As it turned out, this was to be the second hit and run in the evening for Pullos who had an earlier collision with another car.

The courts decision follows a year-long legal battle with Haley’s pleas changing throughout it, ranging from “not guilty” to “no contest”. She sought treatment for her drinking at a rehab following the crash.

Nancy Lee Grahn, who portrayed Pullos’ on-screen mom took to X on Monday night, April 29th and shared on the sentence and the specific jail, Haley will be serving time: “As Haley’s TV mom I can tell some truths about her as I’ve loved her since she was little girl. She made a HUGE mistake, knows it, owns it & has spent the last yr doing EVERYTHING imaginable to take responsibility 4 it. It’s not that I oppose jail. It’s that I oppose this jail.” The jail in question by Grahn is the L.A. county jail.

So, what do you think about Haley Pullos serving a 90-days jail sentence, and the other rulings that will be part of her sentencing? Comment below.
