Montana actress Lily Gladstone will star in Martin Scorsese's new film, "Killers of the Flower Moon," according to Variety.

Gladstone, who is Blackfeet and Nez Perce, grew up in Browning and studied at the University of Montana. 

"Killers of the Flower Moon" is based on David Grann's book, which chronicles a series of murders of members of the Osage Nation in Oklahoma during the 1920s. Gladstone will play Mollie Burkhart, who is married to Ernest Burkhart (Leonardo DiCaprio). In the movie, Ernest's uncle (Robert De Niro) is a powerful rancher, according to Variety.

In an Instagram post, Gladstone said she was "beyond grateful" to join the "legendary" cast of the film.

"I consider it a true gift and great responsibility to be trusted with Mollie Burkhart, and will hold her preciously with both arms, close to my heart. My most profound thanks to Osage Nation, it is a remarkable gift to be welcomed by you, and to be able to tell this story," she wrote. 

There is no release date for the film.
