The only reason I am giving Liebieghaus a one star review is that I was unable to enter their rooms due to something in the air that triggered a severe allergic reaction. Literally I entered the first room and had uncontrollable coughing, most likely due to their ventilation system? The minute I left the building my coughing ceased. I was very disappointed as I was really looking forward to seeing the statues.
My husband was okay so I just waited outside for him. His comments were the same as another post that the displays were only in German. I would suggest perhaps an audio tour might be good for visitors from other countries.

This building sits on the other side of the river from the city centre along the embankment. It's set in a beautiful idyllic square garden that has an outside seating area for it's cafe. The front has a sublime clock tower with the face in blue and claret with the clock itself in gold leaf. To it's side there's some wonderful architecture on it's white stone including a pretty balcony. It's roof is black slate and overall has a slight resemblance of a castle. There's a small part of it at the front that's currently under tarpauline but this doesn't spoil any views or photo shots.

We visited this museum during the "Gods in Color" special exhibit. Another exhibit in the lower level is "White Wedding". Both were interesting and presented in an educational and appealing manner. Masks are required, as is proof of vaccination or negative covid test.

The computerized projections of the colors of the original art are amazing! Makes them much more life like and creates a very different understanding of the culture. Small museum but the Roman and Eqyptian exhibits are amazing.

Spent a few hours there and was glad I made time to visit this place. A beautiful range of exhibits there, especially those gorgeous sculptures. True work of art. Definitely recommended!

Nice property with few statues around, available to see walking around. Did not entry to see the statues (EUR14). The watch and peculiar construction was interesting to visit, though.

This is a singularly attractive museum in rather fantastical building set in a garden close to the banks of the Main. The place is an oasis and the museum collection is of a very high quality. There is a beautiful classical statue of Athena and a number of high quality Roman heads plus a couple of fine Egyptian burial portraits. The medieval collection contains sculpture in both stone and wood, including polychrome altarpieces. Highlights include heads of the four doctors of the Church, each intensely life-like, several beautiful Virgina and Child images, a St Anne with Mary and Jesus, two romanseque Virgins and a romanesque crucifix.
