Upstate barbecue lovers have another eatery to check out.
Lewis Barbecue, a central-Texas style barbecue restaurant based in Charleston, will host its Greenville location’s grand opening on Sept. 14.
The eatery, which took over the former Tommy’s Ham House building at 214 Rutherford St., features a large bar, and indoor and outdoor seating.
Its menu includes:
- Brisket
- Pork spare ribs
- Texas “hot guts’
- Pulled pork
- Sandwiches
- Cowboy pinto beans
- Green chile corn pudding
- Collard greens
- Coleslaw
- Sidewinder fries
“The Lewis Barbecue team is thrilled to be opening in Greenville.” said pitmaster John Lewis. “We’ve already received incredible support from the Upstate community and we are really looking forward to sharing a taste of Texas barbecue in such a vibrant food-focused community.“
Lewis Barbecue Greenville will be open 11 a.m. to 10 p.m., Wednesday-Saturday and 11 a.m. to 9 p.m., Sunday. The restaurant plans to expand to daily service later in the fall.
