The animals themselves looked very comfortable and relaxed in their enclosures. The availability of all modes of transport located in this Hauptbahnhof, make for a visit, to Leipzig, Germany, by train, a "very friendly" visitors experience.
You could spend hours in the shopping facilities within the Hauptbahnhof composition.
It is, from vast experience and interests in Hauptbahnof and Banhof that I have, in Europe, it is Unique.
My only negative comment, relates to CLEANLINESS.
The main entrance which is front of the main tram terminal, the number of those "less fortunate than us" was not acceptable.
The entry into the Hauptbahnof through the main doors the concourse and in between the two sets of doors you need to enter into the Hauptbahnof was wrongfully / sadly DIRTY.
The smokers ash-trays in fact, quite VILE, in the condition they are in and there grossly un-tidy appearance.
The playing of "Light" Classical music, a technique, I know that is used, to distract those experiencing hard times in there life, is used in the MAIN front entrance of Leipzig Hauptbahnhof, but the occasions of my use of these main entry doors, appeared to have NO effect, as numbers of those from a "lower station in life" who would have there reasons, still loitered or asked for "gratitude's".
Police spasmodically where in attendance, which was more of a - Be Seen function - than one of "moving" people on.
All other areas of the Leipzig Hauptbahnhof I had cause to visit, from a cleanliness judgement I would rate 8 out of 10.
I do LOVE Milano Centrale, but Leipzig, and the "newly" refurbished Zurich Hauptbahnhof - wonderful places to visit, that ALL are History "Time Balls".Written April 27, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. The passage is full of exclusive shops selling all manner of expensive goods. But shopping aside, it is worth visiting the complex to appreciate the actual building.
