On the Build
The university has new community partnerships to revitalize two distinct blocks in downtown Appleton.
First, 315 E. College Ave. will house the Trout Museum of Art as well as LU faculty offices, classrooms, a recording studio, and the Humanities Hub at Lawrence. This synergy will further establish Downtown Appleton as a regional and national home to the creative, performing, and visual arts. Second, Fox Commons will provide apartment-style living for 180 students, a home for LU’s Business and Entrepreneurship Center and Health and Wellness Commons, and exciting new avenues for experiential learning – real-world work opportunities that set our students apart as they pursue careers.
Within six months of graduation, 95 percent of Lawrentians are employed (e.g., at Bloomberg, Facebook, Disney, Kimberly-Clark, Epic Records, The Metropolitan Opera, and the Peace Corps) or continuing their studies (e.g., at MIT, Yale, Johns Hopkins, Stanford, Berklee College of Music, University of Wisconsin, and London School of Economics).
