Laurel Cronin, 53, an actress, singer and dancer, died Oct. 26 in Chicago from cancer.
Cronin moved to Los Angeles two years ago after a 30-year career in Chicago theater.
She recently appeared in the feature films “Hook,””Beethoven,””A League of Their Own” and “Housesitter.” She was also a regular on the ABC-TV series, “The Julie Andrews Show,” and guested on numerous other television shows.
Her career also encompassed Broadway and television commercial appearances.
Survivors include her parents and two children.
Services were held Oct. 29 in Illinois. In lieu of flowers, family suggests donations to the Christopher and Jennifer Cronin Trust, c/o Pat Boland, 1040 S. Scoville Ave., Oak Park, Ill. 60304.
Les Magerman
Karris/Magerman Management partner Les Magerman died Oct. 18 in Palmdale of AIDS complications. He was 46.

Magerman began his career in the New York theater, serving in 1977 as company manager of “Gypsy,” which starred Angela Lansbury. Later, he served as stage manager for the Los Angeles production of “Barnum,” which starred Jim Dale and Glenn Close.
As resident director of Long Island’s Thanos Dinner Theatre from 1978-79, he directed such productions as “Zorba,””Stop the World I Want to Get Off, “”Everything in the Garden,””Seesaw” and “Father’s Day.”
He relocated to L.A. in the early 1980s, appearing in guest starring roles on television before beginning a four-year stint at Celebrity Service Intl. He later went on to work as a publicist for Sumski/Green prior to becoming a partner at Karris/Magerman.
Magerman is survived by parents Bill and Dottie Magerman of New York and sister Mimi.
