The late Mrs Lowther-Pinkerton's mother, née Kathleen Sophie MOXON (3 XII 1899 - 10 XI 1983), was married, secondly, in 1947, to Maj-Gen Robert St George Tyldesley RANSOME, CBE, MC (22 VI 1903 - 5 XI 1982).
