The Tennessee Titans shifted roles on the defensive line on Tuesday, marking their first roster move since the start of the 2023 season.

The Titans promoted defensive lineman Kyle Peko from the practice squad and waived defensive tackle Jayden Peevy from the active roster, as well as waiving defensive lineman Michael Dwumfour from the practice squad. Peevy, a second-year defensive lineaen from Texas A&M, was named one of the Titans' offseason defensive MVPs but has only played four defensive snaps this season as he's been stuck behind fellow defensive tackles Jeffery Simmons, Teair Tart, Peko and Naquan Jones on the depth chart.

The Titans (1-1) visit the Cleveland Browns (1-1) for a Week 3 game on Sunday (noon, CBS).

Peko in particular has taken over the role Peevy was expected to play. Peko has been on the practice squad since the start of the season but has been a standard gameday elevation each of the first two weeks of the year and has played 49 defensive snaps and started both games.

Peko has made four tackles this season.

Peevy came to the Titans as an undrafted free agent in 2022 and spent most of his rookie year on the practice squad. He was elevated to the active roster ahead of the Titans' Week 17 game against the Dallas Cowboys where he played 27 snaps but did not record a stat.

The Titans signed both Peko and Dwumfour in the midst of training camp to cover for injuries sustained in July and August. Dwumfour did not play in either of the Titans' first two games.
