Aaran V Great crime drama with good acting. Somewhat predictable storyline, but still entertaining. Rated 4 out of 5 stars 03/14/24 Full Review Alan M Fantastic! A great cast and script tell a story of infighting amongst Dublins drug gangs, three dimensional characters who are well fleshed out by the incredible cast which at times feels like a Game of Thrones reunion. I thoroughly enjoyed the first series and couldn’t wait to watch the second. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 03/04/24 Full Review C M There is a review below from an American who thinks the show is not realistic because we can’t have guns on this side of the Pond. Talk about being absolutely Clueless. They honestly have no idea do they? Well anyway, the show is indeed very realistic if you know about the gang crime which is rampant in Ireland. It is so well put together and is utterly captivating. Gritty, suspenseful and merciless. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 03/01/24 Full Review Dave C A brilliant gangster crime drama with a lot of suspense thrown in for good measure. Well directed, and with a great cast offering some really strong performances, this made for great marathon-viewing, and delivered some genuinely impressive moments Rated 4 out of 5 stars 02/28/24 Full Review Matthew S Absolute immersion. This show is fantastic. And it's a sigh of relief from other shows which are afraid to offend. I really enjoy the realism through excellent writing this show presents as a fantastic Irish crime/mob story with likeable characters and exciting content. This is a must watch! Rated 5 out of 5 stars 02/11/24 Full Review D S Thoroughly enjoyed this show. Totally unrealistic, but the extreme violence is interesting because the show is not in America, where guns are second nature. I thought guns were outlawed over there on that side of the pond so this show as well as Gangs of London are kind of hard to believe. Still entertaining however. Brian Tallerico The Playlist Whether this is the show to really push that reputation now or something that people catch up with long down the road, viewers are likely to be satisfied when they do. Rated: B Oct 29, 2021 Full Review Alex McLevy AV Club It's simply an opportunity to watch some gifted actors do what they do, very well, with a story that glides along in entertaining but unoriginal manner. Rated: B- Aug 30, 2021 Full Review Charlotte Harrison Charlotte Sometimes Goes to the Movies An unexpected slow burn, this is brutal and full of tension – an immersive watch. Dec 20, 2023 Full Review Adam Sweeting The Arts Desk Kin succeeds because of the way it knits character and action together so seamlessly within its carefully drawn and defined locations. Rated: 5/5 Dec 5, 2023 Full Review Ed Power Irish Times The hope must be that this is merely a wobble - and that part eight delivers on the potential the show has demonstrated through the season. Oct 29, 2021 Full Review Dustin Rowles Pajiba Kin is not a slick, expensive production - it won't be confused for a Scorsese flick - but it features a number of powerful performances... that make it much better than the sum of its parts.
