The Society Netflix Wiki

Kelly Aldrich is one of the main characters in the first season of The Society. She is essentially the Queen Bee of West Ham. She's smart and has a firm moral compass. But now that the rules have been rewritten, she may as well take the opportunity to rewrite herself as well. In doing so, she finds herself torn between the old high school hierarchy and the new world order. She is portrayed by Kristine Froseth.

Kelly might as well be the unsung hero of the show, she is everywhere, doing everything. She discovers that the bus driver might be the reason for their disappearance then soon after helps Becca give birth.

Relationships[]

Harry Bingham[]

Main article: Harry and Kelly
What Happened 101 120

He was in a relationship with Kelly, but during a party in What Happened? he touches another girl and they get in a fight during which he says that they don't "own" each other and she breaks up with him. He makes many attempts to get back together with her but she doesn't want to, both because they had different opinions on how to live in this new town but also because she felt that she couldn't rely on him. After he falls into a state of depression shortly after the death of Cassandra, Kelly can be seen checking on him, as she does still care, and trying to get him out of bed. She later becomes suspicious when Campbell puts Harry's name on the sign-up sheet for mayor, and goes to his house to ask him about it. She warns him about Campbell and after the coup arrest Allie and Will, she realizes Harry is in on the plan and seems furious with him, further straining their relationship.

Will LeClair[]

Main article: Will and Kelly

Will has had a long-time crush on Kelly and proceeded to act on them after they end up in an alternate version of West Ham. They at first flirted, as she was still reeling from her breakup with Harry, and then sealed their relationship by having sex. However, Kelly realized that Will's true feelings are with Allie, and confronts him about it. She doesn't seem hurt or upset, and they are presumably still friendly towards one another.

Becca Gelb[]

Main article: Becca and Kelly

She and Becca become friends after Kelly finds out about her pregnancy and offers to help her. She saves enough food to feed her and her baby, performs an ultrasound on her, and lets Becca confide in her with how's she's feeling. The two become close enough that they are often seen around town together, and they even sit together during Thanksgiving, as Sam is not present.

Gwen Patterson[]

Gwen and Kelly seem as though they've been best friends for a long time. They are seen together frequently throughout the show. Kelly did call out Gwen for berating Cassandra about her plan for the females exerting their power to combat the males. Though they seemed to have gotten over it, as they, along with Grizz, organized the prom together, and Gwen comforted Kelly off the stage after delivering a heartwrenching speech while inebriated.

Gordie Moreno[]

What Happened 101 169

She and Gordie weren't close by any means before the bus trip and began to form a friendship shortly after Cassandra's untimely death. It developed even more so when people became sick at Thanksgiving after the antifreeze poisoning from Elle's pie. They spent a lot of time perfecting their skills in medicine and helping Becca during her pregnancy. They even agreed to become partners by the end of the first season.

Cassandra Pressman[]

Shortly after their school trip brought them to a parallel universe of New Ham, Cassandra began to take charge and Kelly followed her lead, counting food and joining the committee on figuring out how to live and how to get home. They were on friendly terms, and Kelly even asked Cassandra about organizing a prom to raise everyone's spirits. Harry blamed Cassandra for Kelly distancing herself from him.

Quotes[]

ā€œ Prom was supposed to be how we say goodbye. I mean, that's what it would've been. It's funny because we are saying goodbye. Just not to each other. Saying goodbye to everything else, to our old lives. Our childhood. And it's not just disappearing, slowly...receding into some...distance...where we can still see it. It's just...gone. ā€
ā€” Kelly to Everyone
ā€œ You should probably get some better friends. ā€
ā€” Kelly to Harry
ā€œ This better be important. Unlike a lot of lazy asses, I'm still doing my job and my shift starts in 20 minutes. ā€
ā€” Kelly to Harry
