Last night’s episode of Yellowstone (“Cowboys and Dreamers”) not only delivered a bombshell (we finally know the reason why Beth hates Jamie so damn much), but it also introduced fans to a new character: Boyd Nelson’s wife Carolyn (Kathleen Wilhoite).
Without spoiling the episode (which is now streaming on the Paramount Network’s website), Carolyn Nelson is yet another in a long line of interesting new characters who’ve made their Yellowstone debut in Season 3. Kathleen Wilhoite has appeared in over 130 projects, so you’ve almost certainly seen her before, but the question is where.

WHERE HAVE I SEEN KATHLEEN WILHOITE BEFORE?
An accomplished actor and musician, Wilhoite is best known for portraying Carrie in Patrick Swayze’s 1989 classic Road House, playing Chloe Lewis on ER, and for her role as Liz Danes on Gilmore Girls. Kathleen also starred in the 1986 Charles Bronson action film Murphy’s Law, portrayed Michelle in the 1994 drama Color of Night, appeared in the Anthony Hopkins/Alec Baldwin action movie The Edge (Ginny), and played Deirdre Murphy in Lorenzo’s Oil.
Along with releasing two albums (“Pitch Like a Girl” and “Shiva”), Wilhoite also appeared on Twin Peaks, The OA, Grey’s Anatomy, Mad About You, L.A. Law, and provided the voice of the titular character on the Disney Channel comedy Pepper Ann.
