The hospital director of Karak Governmental Hospital, Dr. Muath Al-Ma'tah, said that 52 percent of beds in the hospital's isolation department, which is used for treating COVID-19 patients, are currently in use. 

He added that this percentage indicates the stability of the epidemiological situation in Karak Governorate, after the occupancy rate last week reached 73 percent. 

He said that the hospital receives about 500 emergency cases per day, and that there are doctors of various specialties who rotate daily to deal with these cases and conduct emergency operations for patients.

Al-Ma'aytah indicated that there are no patients on artificial respirators, and the health status of most patients is stable, calling for the full commitment of citizens to procedures and standards of public health and safety, in order to limit the spread of the virus.
