Josias, Hereditary Prince of Waldeck and Pyrmont (DE: Josias Georg Wilhelm Adolf Erbprinz zu Waldeck und Pyrmont) was a nobleman of the House of Waldeck and heir apparent to the throne of the Principality of Waldeck and Pyrmont. He also was notably a SS-Obergruppenführer and SS Police Leader of the Fulda-Werra section of the Buchenwald concentration camp. For his role as a KZ-personnel and as a Holocaust perpetrator, he was sentenced to life in prison in the Dachau-Buchenwald trials, later commuted to 20 years in prison, and was released in December 1950. He passed away in 1967.
