I just happened to see this book recommended to me and decided to order and give it a try. I haven’t really followed Josh’s career or anything so I wasn’t sure what to expect reading the book. I ended up reading it in one day. At the risk of sounding hyperbolic, I have to say it’s probably one of the best books/memoirs I’ve ever read. Especially from a celebrity (my usually read is a memoir).

It is extremely raw/personal but written so well that it’s not a heavy read. It is funny and light while at the same time cuts deep. I connected with a large portion of the book but I would imagine there’s something in there for everyone.

I spent my day off reading this book, and must say it was a day well spent. As a millennial, I grew up watching Peck and still love to see him on TV. I initially bought this book because I like Peck as an actor. That being said, this book far surpassed my expectations. I found it funny, heart-felt, inspirarional and uplifting. It is well paced and a quick read. I believe there is something for everyone in this book and I would definitely recommend to anyone whether they are familiar with Peck's works or not.

What strikes me most is that even though I read it, I heard his voice. My kids watched him on TV so, of course, I did too and to read about his struggles is heartbreaking. He describes his feelings and what he's gone through with clarity... You imagine being there with him because who hasn't felt the same? So grateful to him for writing this insight into who he is and how he's grown. Excited for him and his future and totally agree that happy people are annoying. ;)

Josh Peck has a true gift for speaking and it’s this talent that makes his book, through his narration, a standout. His performance is conversational, approachable, relatable. His stories have some gems in the takeaways. I had very little knowledge of Peck going in. I had an inkling he was on Nickelodeon, an inkling he had a giant weight loss. I did not know he dealt with substance abuse issues or that he had/has a massive social media presence. Yet with almost no points of reference, this book, his thoughts, completely captured my attention. It’s an inviting delivery, I strongly recommend the audio version.
